How long has it been going on for?

Sorry I didn’t explain enough. He’s banging his head on the cot in his sleep when moving about. He’s only been in his cot for 6 days

My lo does the same on one side (long side) ive put my pregnancy pillow along there but the head of the cot I think I might put a pillow there or look for some padded tiles I can stick there 😭

That’s a good idea. We have 2 little pillows either end of the cot which has helped. He is knocking his head on the side when moving but doesn’t seem to wake… I feel awful each time he does it

Honestly unless it is waking them up leave them be. They aren't going to hit them self hard enough to hurt themself long term. My daughter has been in her cot since 7 months. I dread moving her to a toddler bed as she moves around so much, but it doesn't upset her and the longer shes been in the cot the less she has done it

It is waking him a lot at the moment but I’m hoping he’ll settle soon

It's not recommend to have anything in the cot with them, so just give him time to settle in the new environment and eventually his movements will be less. My little girl has gone from constant wiggling and rolling, when you would check the camera she was never in the same place, to now she rolls over/changes position a handful of times a night and generally stays where she fell asleep until she wakes up and sits up and does what she does until we get to her (sometimes I will get dressed before going to get her for an easier life 🤣)

My boy is still waking himself up when banging his head then won’t settle 😩
