How long have you been a single mom for/how olds your baby? I’ve been a single mom for the whole of my pregnancy and the 14 months she’s been here. For me it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done as I knew from the minute I found out my baby dad wasn’t gonna be good for us and he chose not to be involved. I literally do it all, no breaks from family literally me 24/7 everyday of the week, it can be mentally exhausting but I really wouldn’t have it any other way, I’ve got my mini bestie with me everyday. It does take time to adjust especially if your first child but I’m sure you’ve got this! I’m not gonna say I love every single second because I would like a break but ultimately my daughter won’t need me like this forever so it’s one of them

Hey girl, I’m 22 year old single mom with a 2 year old and 7 month old. I just learnt how to put my babies first and I had good support from my mom too, as she has always been my village. If you want a mom friend, you can message me 💓 don’t get me wrong there are times I felt like I couldn’t do it on my own as I have a 7 month old who is under dietician, cranio and now a spinal team but I I will do anything I can to make both my boys happy

My son is 2.5 years old and I’ve been a single mum since before he was born. Went through pregnancy, birth, and everything alone. When I first realised I would be a single mum I was devastated. I cried for months, and I was so mad at myself.
One thing I will say is that the rhetoric about being a single mum is far worse than the experience itself. Yes, it’s challenging to be the default parent 24/7, but as long as you have a village, nursery, school, childcare, then it’s manageable. The hardest parts about being a single mum is what people would say to me, fear about what others would think, fear that I’d be alone forever, guilt that I’d failed my son.
No one is perfect. You are allowed to make mistakes and choose the wrong partner before finding the right one. Contrary to single motherhood discourse, there are many men out there who are happy to start a life with a single mum.
Your little one is a gift, and you are still worthy of love.
