Sore between fingers

My little boy keeps sucking his hands and I’ve noticed he’s got a sore between 2 fingers. Keep putting sudo on it but he keeps wiping it off or sucking his hands again. Tried mits but he knocks them off. He’s in 9-12 grows and they don’t have the mits built in. Anyone had similar or any ideas how to help?

I have a cream that is used for nipples Wren (I think) and it like Vaseline but soooo thick. They can ingest it so no issues and I put it on my boys fingers as his thumbs are chapped from sucking them. Works great 👍🏻
