Spotting

Has anyone experienced any light spotting or brownness? I had a bit of brown discharge yesterday and today I’ve just wiped and it’s a little more reddish. Not fresh blood but definitely more redder.

I’ll contact the midwife tomorrow as I’m hoping it’s nothing, but I can’t help but worry. I think I’m around 6+4.

What worries me too is I haven’t had any symptoms of nausea, tiredness etc. and by this point with my first I had severe nausea, exhaustion and food aversions. I know every pregnancy is different though.

Please try not to worry! I had light pink & brown spotting on & off from weeks 4-6. I even got some bright red spotting at 6+2. I’ve had 2 scans since then & during my second scan the midwife noticed a very small subchorionic hematoma which she said would have been the cause of the bleeding. Ever since I bled red at 6+2, I’ve not seen any more spotting at all (it’s almost as if as it’s shrunk the spotting & bleeding has stopped). They are very common during early pregnancy.

Unless you have severe cramps, clotting & HEAVY bleeding, try not to worry💕 don’t worry about symptoms either, they aren’t an indicator of a healthy pregnancy x

Labour?

Contractions have been regular then seemed to taper off a bit. Screenshot from my app. Is this actually labour? Each contraction is very painful and im sort of trying to breathe through them but also sometimes having to moan. I'm shattered as I've not slept a wink so far tonight as its been ongoing on and off all evening/night. Should I call triage and ask to be seen? Don't want a wasted 40min journey 🙈

Successful VBAC welcome to the world!

Waters broke at 36 plus 4, after 36 hours of labour, including the most intense contractions and pushing that I thought was impossible (you’ve got this ladies!) followed being cut open and stitched back up to get her out when she was stuck, my darling daughter Loretta was born at 5 pounds 5 🩷

Second time round and still the best feeling in the world, holding your newborn for the first time 🥹🥹🥹

Head flopped backwards

Mums, has this ever happened to you?

My 9-week-old was being held upright and for a second I took my hand away from supporting his upper back/neck. He suddenly flopped backwards quite far and it really scared me. He seemed completely fine afterwards and has been acting normally.

I know babies this age still have wobbly head control, but has anyone else had a similar moment? I think I just need some reassurance 😭
