For myself, I’ve noticed it getting a lot worse. For example I was going to bed 2 and a half hours ago but I just looked at the time and realised I’ve been scrolling. It’s the only time I feel like my brain stops overthinking. However now I need to know what happens in the next episode of some Chinese short drama 🤦🏽♀️ so can’t sleep.
I regret it every morning but finding I’m going it during the day too. Just zoning out.
Is there a way of limiting time on certain apps?

For the phone thing, I put it on a charger plugged in an open common space area, like the kitchen. 🤣🤷♀️ it works for meeee
But there are ways to limit your own screen time through your phone it depends on what kinda phone you have as to like specific set up instructions lol

I started noticing the same with myself. I started basically putting parental stuff on my apps lol like I can only use TikTok for 3 hours a day. I can only use peanut for 2 hours a day. With everything going on in the world Im stuck in this stagnant place that a lot of people are stuck in. Where I have to keep going like everything is normal for my kids but outside the world is on fire. My mind goes into this like protective mode where I just mindlessly doom scroll, trying to lighten the load but also stay informed.
All this to say I just set parental controls for myself to help, but also don't be too hard on yourself for it, it's hard being adult in general let alone the state of the world.

i deleted tiktok for this exact reason. i was literally draining my little amount of free time into mindlessly scrolling and then id end up feeling groggy and just not good after. deleting it has cut down my screen time SIGNIFICANTLY. although, i do still have youtube and sometimes fall into the shorts. but, they’re not as tailored to me like tiktok was so it’s easier to snap out of it after a few videos. maybe consider doing the same? i know it keeps you from thinking about everything but it’s just a distraction from problems , not solving OR coping with them. maybe pour your thoughts into a journal instead of trying to ignore them love

Yeah you can set downtime on your phone and allow only certain apps (like I have WhatsApp, my NYT games app, library app and huckleberry that I can use overnight, the rest are locked out) - it allows you to override it but to be honest it gets so annoying having to do that it’s just easier to go back to sleep lol. That or reading x

I deleted Tik tok, instagram and facebook. I only have Reddit and peanut now. Definitely has helped and I’m much happier for it!
Please tell me what your experience is with your 8m old.

Let’s see it ladies.
You’ve got to laugh or you’ll cry, let’s be honest 🤣
Edit: this is what I caught in the shower and does not include anything that went down the plug, anything that stayed on my comb, anything still attached to my body when I got out or anything that was still in the bath when I was done ✌️.

Someone please help me with some advice because I’m losing my absolute mind 😭
Baby is 5 months old, she has changed a lot in personality over the last month, more needy, sleep changes etc but have put it down to the 4 month regression and teething.
However, the problem that makes me want to literally cry is the car seat! She is totally inconsolable now every time she’s in the car. Why? And what can I do to help it?!

My baby is almost 4 months, she was always so happy and smiley but recently she SQUEALS!!! if she’s not squealing, she’s crying, no matter what we do.
When we pick her up, she wants to move every two seconds and stiffens up and screams at us to move her, in the car, play gym, in her swing chair.. it’s relentless!!!
Anybody else experienced this?? I’m worried (although I hope not!) that because I never let her “self soothe” and responded to every sound she’s made that I may have spoiled her like people said and I laughed at?
Pic of my usually smiley girl so we don’t get lost 🩷

Baby J is sleeping and waking for feeds now rather than timing the feeds as per midwife advice, worry about when he is asleep and not changing a nappy for 2 + hours. Mum anxiety it horrible for that but I’m sticking with never wake a sleeping baby.
