With my first (singleton) we did baby-led weaning and skipped purées completely. Solid Starts is an incredible resource for education and how to serve hundreds of foods. When choosing a high chair you want something with a completely straight back and a foot rest (both help reduce the risk of choking). My twins are only 7 weeks (4 weeks adjusted) so we have a while to go but we will do the same for them

My girls turn 6 months tomorrow . We started introducing purées a month ago and it’s been going well. I started with prunes , pears , sweet potato , avocado, green beans , and peas . Now I can mix them all together , it has been a little tricky finding that right balance between formula and purées. Right now they’re drinking anywhere from 32oz- 40oz and eating about 4 oz of food. After a while the food textures just start making them fussy so they tap out after about 15 mins. They can feed themselves ! It’s been wild to watch in an amazing way. They have the gripped teething spoons with the grooves, they love it. I haven’t tried any of the allergens yet. For high chairs we went with a foldable version for the sake of space. This one : Primo Cozy Tot Deluxe Convertible... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5MGZ3J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

We have the Hauck wooden highchairs. We’ve done a mix of baby led and purées. It’s really baby specific tbh. I’ve already got a 3 year old so knew most of what to expect tbh. We started at 6 months when they were showing the signs of being ready - interested in food, able to sit supported long enough to finish a meal, no tongue thrust reflex etc. The twins seem to prefer purées, but my first much preferred baby led so it really depends on the baby. Second solid starts as an excellent resource. I also just bought baby led feeding by jenna helwig which has some good recipes in if you’re running out of ideas. If you hate mess buy some bibado coverall bibs. Feeding two at the same time can be challenging but then everything is with twins 🤷‍♀️
