Anembryonic miscarriage

I am sorry. I’ve been through a couple of similar losses. It’s so hard. All of your feelings are valid. Take all the time you need to process it all. Nothing can make it not happen. Nothing can make it better. But time does help. Grief will always be with you. And you’ll remember “I would be 30 weeks pregnant now” or “my child would have been 2 years old today”. I found holidays particularly difficult. And even after having a healthy pregnancy and birth, I still find pregnancy announcements super triggering. It’s lonely. Soooo many women have been through losses but it still feels like you’re the only one. Your whole world ended and the rest of the planet kept moving on.

I found naming them really helped. Blake was our first. And it’s nice to talk about them. Celebrate their birth date and their due date. They are always a part of you. We were lucky (or unlucky?) enough to be able to hold Blake. We planted him in a dark plant as Blake means dark one and said a few words.
