ILL AGAIN😩😩😩😩

Right my 3YO started nursery in January for the 15 hours and i actually wonder if it’s worth it; ever since he started he has been ill every single week,

If it’s not conjunctivitis its scarlet fever if not that it’s horrible cold to the point he throws up with the mucus.
I’m 39 weeks today, having a sweep on Friday and I’m really tempted to keep him at home next week.
This is my 5th sore throat since fcking January!!!!!

Honestly getting to the point now no one sleeps.

Honestly we were the same. He got hand foot and mouth just as we were having our twin girls. He went when he was 2 and now he's 3.5 and he's barely ill from nursery. I promise it does taper off

It will get better but I understand why you’d want to keep him at home before you give birth. Mine has been going since September 2023 and to begin with was poorly alot but after about 5/6 months it settled down and he was rarely poorly except for in winter x

My son started 12th jan (15 hours also) by 14th he was full of cold which turned into croup that weekend, the cold stayed the following week which turned into a chest infection and urine infection (this is when our baby was born and he by drs orders had to go and stay away from baby for 48 hours with the in laws.. my emotions were everywhere and I felt so guilty) cold stayed the next week and then he had conjunctivitis then by the end of that week (still got the damn cold) he had an ear infection. Then all of half term he had chicken pox so missed the first day back. We are currently for the first time in 7 weeks illness free…for now as there is now a sickness bug going around🤦🏼‍♀️
When he was ill when baby was born that was the illest he has ever been, first time on antibiotics everything he was ILL. Totally ruined his experience of meeting his sister and that whole week even when he came back home was awful.

If I could go back and change anything he would have started after Feb half term, not January at all.

If it doesn't happen in nursery it will happen when they go to school.
The first winter my first went he was constantly ill for months but this year he's barely been ill at all.
My 11 month old started beginning of January and he's been ill for the past few weeks.
The bugs tend to become less frequent as the weather warms up though.
