It’s 3:42 am. My son is only 6 weeks old. Dad made us to go the doctor yesterday morning. He was suppose to go with us and bailed for work. But hasn’t been home since. Or has been home but avoiding the baby due to the really bad colic crying at night. I’ve been going non stop with our son since he was born. The last two weeks dad was sick and I had to take day and night shift and since then he hasn’t even tried to help. I told him today what’s going on started around 9pm. He said he was gonna be late. 1am came around and he still wasn’t home. I just dozed off on the couch after FINALLY getting the baby to sleep and all I wanted was to sleep but in the bed because the couch hurts so bad. He came home and ate and disappeared. Didn’t even wake me or anything. I know he’s prolly tired but SO AM I like wtf I’ve been going non fucking stop. I don’t get to clock out if this like he gets to clock out of work and lay down. I’m so frustrated I want to cry but can’t because of the baby wakes up I will literally lose my fucking mind. Clearly my mental nor emotional side means a fuck thing to him
How are the single mom coping? I’m at my limit. I don’t wanna hurt my baby but he cries NON FUCKING STOP for hours on end im scared I might on accident out of frustration.

I did more feeds with mine as well and during feeding I would stop and burp him

This stage builds alot of resentment. I had a similar experience, it’s exhausting and takes a toll on your mental. If you can, go to therapy and have as much adult interaction as possible just to get it out because it’s easy to snap on him or the baby. If you’ve expressed these feelings calmly and clearly then I’d suggest focusing on you since he isn’t 🥹

Do you have any friends or family that could help? I know it’s hard to ask for help but especially when you’re getting to that point it’s better to have others pitch in 🥹

I find being a single mum so much easier!! Don’t get me wrong it’s hard work and can get stressful sometimes but not having shitty men who tear you down even more is so refreshing and when baby is actually asleep you can focus on you prep bottles do some selfcare yk? Not worry about arseholes!! :)
Hope you’re okay x

I understand my son was what you called a purple cryer 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺. I asked my mother to help out a lot and she didn’t want too a whole lot I mean did but like she didn’t want too it seemed like because she would go it’s your baby . By 3:00 AM though I would end up exhausted crying . Single mom 2 kids I understand
