Toxic people

Does anyone else have a toxic relationship and a toxic family members?
I am fed up with the rollercoaster I’m on with family and my relationship. I’m feeling so isolated and even though my boyfriend says we will be intimate it never happens anymore. I’ve completely gone numb at this point. I’m just trying to figure out what I’m going through right now.

I dont but I have friends who do. Ones gone minimal contact. If it wasnt because her ex has full custody she would go no contavct (its thanks to her parents she lost her kids to him). She litrally only talks to them in the capacity of her kids if she has to which these days is rare as she has a much better relationship with her ex now (it was a messy divorce! Understatement of the century)

I’ve unfortunately had plenty of toxic relationships; friends, family & romantic. People whom I thought so highly of thought very low of me. That’s a different kind of hurt when the people around you don’t believe in your capabilities.. so why should you? I’m sorry you’re going through this 🫂

Yes! MIL constantly causes drama and stress.
FIL ignores all rules/boundaries but is otherwise okay.
Mother constantly says insensitive comments. Nothing major but I want a close relationship to her.
Father literally could not care less that I exist.
My partner is really good luckily.
But there’s constant stress with family and sadness that it is not a loving and supportive relationship.
Then the repair, then conflict cycle. Feels like I can never fully relax.

In sorry I have no advice but get it x

Oh yes....
My twin sister is a toxic person and I cut all contacts with her since October 2024 - best decision ever and I am so much more relieved. Before, I was always anxious seeing her at my parents and her giving mean and hurtful comments to me (she can't stand that I have always been more successful in school or with my career or that our family argues less with me than with her cause she never listens, behaves and was/is a mean bitch to everyone around her if it's not her way) . Not having her in my life anymore is a relief.
And then there is MIL, constantly causing drama, can't keep her emotions together, shows narcissistic behaviour and tries to gaslight everyone around her .... Luckily she lives hours away and we don't see her very often.
I learned it's best to cut out people who are not good for me. Mental health improves so much and it feels like a heavy weight falls off your shoulder.

My sisters unfortunately, only really keep in touch due to wanting my daughter to have some form of relationships with them. 🤷‍♀️
