How to file for full custody, Please Help Me
My baby daddy night be getting out of jail on bond soon and I haven't officially filled for full custody because I didn't expect him to touch the grass anymore anytime soon but I also have no idea how to do that.
He wants to have partial custody but our origin involves him grooming me and being very very scary toxic and more when I would break from his spell.
He is now in jail for let's just say the violent crime version of what our relationship was considering I was a minor and he was an adult.
I'm not in the best situation myself like I'm living with friends while I'm building myself up for me and my kids but I'm scared the state will just take my kids away or demand I give him partial custody.

Get a lawyer. They would guide you in the right direction
I would say find out if your state has something called legal aid, you should also be able to file emergency custody. If there is a history of DV on his part i dont see why they wouldnt give you custody (unless you do drugs, and show your unfit ). I also would tell them you want supervised visitation through the courts if possible.
What was his criminal charge? Is he went to jail for being with a minor, would they really give him partial custody to be around a child? I’m currently wanting to file for full custody as well but I know every state is different. I have all of the paperwork work to fill out I just haven’t sent it. If you spend majority of your income relating to you and your child, you can provide proof of how much you spend as to why you can’t afford to pay for the paperwork for full custody then you go to the court and they’ll grant you free of payment (that’s how it is in ga) then you’d wait for a court date. What I did was asked chat gpt to send me the paperwork or link to where I need to fill out for full legal custody and chat GPT did and asked them for the address I can drop off or send the paper work too.
I went to my local courthouse and asked for emergency placement forms for my son. Which also had a restraining order inside the packet. I had court 72 hours in person and was granted full custody.
