They say there get ‘ use to it ‘ my boy just started and likes playing on his own the last few times. He is like me i don’t like people and was and still kinda am shy. do they just deal with the fact they are playing alone ? I don’t want this but it’s the way it looks as he’s like my double in this respect and you can’t change a person. Other than this he’s always been pretty shy meeting new people and not social atall im this respect. Anyone else’s like this or have been ? Does it just try out to be them as a person or can they get better. For people who may respond with it gets better. He has always been shy. I can’t see him improving this skill. Opinions? I’d love for him to be playing with others but if he’s happy playing alone what else could I do

Usually children don’t really play with others until about 4 so I don’t think nursery would see it as an issue, probably a nice thing they’re happy playing on their own! X

How is your little boy now? My little girl is on week 2 she screams and cry’s when I’m driving to nursery to take her and she literally fights on as we go in, when I go to pick her up she is always playing on her own and exactly the same as you i don’t like people and not very social and I think she is my twin.. I would just like to know how has your boy settled?
2 months in.. yes he is the same when I pick him up.. a few days ago I saw him sitting to the side on his own when gathered around together as a class.. and seen him also go in and go play on his own straight away to what he likes.. he is fine going in.. but I wonder if it will go away. I guess the answer is no if we’re like this, How old is your little one? feel free if you’d like me to message you x
