Silent reflux

Does anyone else’s baby suffer with reflux / silent reflux? My husband and I are at our wits end and got literally no sleep last night after starting our little girl on carobel for suspected reflux. I’m not even sure it’s working as it seems to make her way worse after a feed in that she’s inconsolable unless I bounce for literally HOURS on a yoga ball and hold her in a very specific way (sat like she’s on a chair with my arm across her chest).

Anyone else in a similar situation? She’s clearly in a lot of discomfort and we just don’t know what to do to help her, we’ve tried everything on the nhs website which might help and have now moved onto carobel before we’ll try gaviscon or other medication if needed. 😩

I highly suggest turning to homeopathy. Nux vomica(reflux/gas) belladonna(Upset stomach, gas, acid, etc), sepia(constipation), carbo veg(bloating), Arsenicum album(burning sensation). All worked wonders for my babies. I still use these.

There’s many more, and many more uses. Look into it, and see what comes up for what your little girl is experiencing.

Yes, we started omeprazol. Seeing an oral assessment specialist who identified tension during feeds causing poor tongue function.

I would consider medication as she’s probably in pain poor sweetheart

We started omeprazole at 4 weeks (she’s 7 weeks now) at and it made such a difference. Also paid to see an osteopath which surprisingly also seems to help.

Good luck, sending love as it’s really difficult. X

So sorry! It seems a little more might be required as mine only has slight reflux but the apatmil anti reflux formula helps. Best of luck 🤞🏾

My baby is on omeprazole as well i had to be really persistent with the GP as he was hesitant as my boy gains good weight. But tbh I wasn't leaving without. They most likely try and fob you off saying it is colic and newborn crying. I told the GP, I know the difference between newborn crying and pain.
I was now also cut dairy out of my diet. However, i don't know if its doing anything.
Please see the GP x
