Is anyone doing this alone or became a single parent through this journey?
I’m so close to ending my relationship as I cannot deal with my partner spending more time in the pub or doing what he wants over spending time as a family. I’ve begged and begged for him to stop and see the bigger picture, he stops for a few weeks and things are great then he does the same again.
He nipped out for ‘a few pints’ at 3:30pm and is still not home.
I feel like a single parent in a relationship and wonder if it would actually be harder being alone 24/7?
I’m terrified about doing this myself and I hate the thought of a broken family but for her sake I can’t continue to feel let down or give chance after chance when nothing changes.
If anyone else is doing this solo I’d love to hear how it really is

I ended my relationship when my baby was 4.5 months, moved in with parents for a month and then me and my baby moved into own place.
Honestly, best decision I ever made.
I feel so much happier and less stressed because there’s no expectation now. I was doing majority of the work anyway so in that sense it’s no different. Yes, sometimes I get down about losing the family unit but that’s natural and I know this is what’s best for my baby and myself. Dad has him every Saturday night so I actually get more of break now than I ever did.
