Rash

Hi,
My son has cmpa and is exclusively breastfed. He’s nearly 7 month old and I’ve stopped all dairy and soy from my diet since he as 2 months old. I recently reintroduced diary back into my diet around 1-2Months ago and everything was fine. The past 2 weeks he’s been coming out in rashes like this on his face. Surely if the first 6 weeks were ok, this can’t be cmpa related? I’m so confused by it all and don’t know what to do for the best. Any advice would be appreciated.

So my son has CMPA and is formula fed. He wasnt diagnosed with CMPA until 9 months old. He had dairy in his diet from 6 months and then suddenly at 8 months he just couldn't seem to tolerate it. He gets a rash like this on his face when he has dairy. May be worth cutting it out again just to see if it goes. X

Are u doin the dairy ladder for him or have u just started eating dairy as ur suppose to introduce to him first through him eating as we dont know how much dairy passes through breast milk so yes his rash could be a reaction from dairy unfortunately

We have found the doctors to be supportive and referred us to a dietitian to support how to reintroduce it etc in the diet. My son has it and his face is so sore and red. He has it so badly 😐. I'm also breast feeding and cut out dairy. It's such a rotten thing but I'm so scared to cut it forever as dairy is such a rubbish allergy to have!
