METH ADDICTION
My brother is currently addicted to meth. He has been acting so strange, being paranoid, hallucinations, lots of other really bad and scary symptoms. Me and my mum have only just found out about his addiction. He's currently in hospital after trying to end his life. We are all really worried about him. Has anyone got any advice please? What does meth do? Is he going to he able to recover from this drug? We live in the UK. Please any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you ðŸ˜

I have no good advice. Guess Im just here to say you arent alone... But rehab maybe? If he is willing... My brother has been doing that for 20 plus years. Been to rehab a handful of times, gets better for a few months.. gains weight back then he is right back at it. It has gotten to the point that I have just dropped him out of my life. I love him...but I love him more from a distance. Also, he seems to be clean for now...but his mind is still not there. My brother calls it "the Superman drug" ...probably why he loves it so much.

Rehab. And he needs to move away, change his people, places and things. Every addicts rock bottom is different.
Meth use can cause a schizophrenic like break in some people, usually people who already have underlying mental health issues. He's going to need a lot of mental health support as well as rehab to recover.
It can be very difficult to get that support though as it's rarely able to be forced on people, and people having such mental health issues makes them distrustful and less likely to be willing to accept the mental health support they need. You may need to advocate for him to get him the support he needs.
