Overwhelmed

Hi, I'm 16 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy. Does anybody else feel extremely overwhelmed as to what to do or what to research? I'm trying to get our house prepared but I feel like I'm just making more of a mess. But also as I'm reading information I just feel so lost. I'm dyslexic and it's already hard for me to read this information but I'm struggling to take it in and I fear that I missing important information.

You've got some time mama. I've been there too. Maybe try and make a list about what needs to get done and what you need to get/ prepare. Make a list about topics on your mind and tackle them one at a time if possible. Talk to your OB or friends or family about what they've seen & what they think is important to research before having a baby. There is sooo much info out there and it's really easy to get overwhelmed. You got this!

Find some baby/parenting classes. That’s a good place to start.

Yes! I feel the same way. I did hear parenting classes are good too

As long as you have a way to feed your baby a place for them to sleep some clothing and diapers that’s all you need .
Sure the classes and extra gear are helpful but just remember those basics so you don’t get overwhelmed .

Ive dont some free classes online with The Baby Academy and have learned a lot. Highly recommend. It’s greatly reduced my anxiety and increased my confidence :)

Posterior placenta

Does anyone else find that sometimes the baby moving hurts?? I had an anterior placenta last time and didn't experience this but I'm sometimes in pain depending on how the baby moves (not all the time). I'm just scared when I get to 30+ weeks it's gona hurt even more as the baby will be even bigger

Potential pre eclampsia

Had my 40 week midwife appointment today and my blood pressure was above the threshold I think she roughly said 144/94 and also a slight amount of protein in my urine. She rang triage to get their opinion but they are currently on divert due to being so full, they said it is borderline so just to keep an eye on symptoms over the weekend. She took bloods from me today and I’m back in to see the midwife on Monday to get results, recheck BP and potentially get a sweep. I am quite nervous now though as I was planning a vbac but have my pre op for c section booked in for next Friday If spontaneous labour doesn’t happen. They don’t seem overly concerned which should be reassuring but I am such an anxious person I can’t help but sit here panicking. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Baby 2?

Trying to decide if I’m ready for baby 2 or not. Current plan is to start trying in Dec, but I can’t help but think my baby is just still a baby even though he’s nearly 2. The guilt is real!!! Anyone else feeling the same way? I don’t want to have a huge age gap and I’m also conscious of age! (32)

Stressed and worried.

I’m 9 months post partum and a couple weeks ago I found out I’m pregnant with my second. I’m 6 weeks pregnant and have had high blood pressure since I’ve been checking the last 4 days. I had preeclampsia at the very end of my first pregnancy and for a few months after had dangerously high blood pressure and was put on medication. I guess I’m just worried about this pregnancy already cause I’m so early with very high blood pressure constantly. Im sure stressing about it isn’t helping. But there’s not much else I can do besides try to talk to my OB about it. Just worried I’ll be dismissed and told I’m fine.
