Any mums done a long plane journey with their 18month old? Not sure what to bring entertainment wise and whether they'll be able to fit in the bassinet as they will be a lap infant

Hi what airlines are you going to use? I am planning to take a sticker book, her fav doll, cars and my phone for cartoons

British Airlines refused and said no bassinet so have to be all the time on the lap

Cathay Pacific- says the weight limit is 12kg so I’m hoping it will be okay! I travelled BA and their bassinets were tiny

We went to the US (central not eastern so long flight) when my first was 14 months. He was tiny tiny but still wouldn’t have fit in the bassinet, but they gave us a little bouncer looking thing instead and he fit just fine. My August babe is bigger and there’s no way she would fit. TBH with all the amount of times you have to get them out due to the seatbelt sign coming on, it’s not even really worth it. The extra leg room is great though. Entertainment wise we ended up walking the aisles more than anything! Brought little reusable sticker books, sensory toys, but even putting Trolls on the tv only kept him occupied for 15 min. And that’s not a big chunk of 10/11 hours 😅 Lots of snacks, go a night if you can so they sleep, and be prepared to walk the aisles if needed!
