Vacation road trip

Mama's with littles about Brixstynn's age we are planning a trip come fallish to Florida the part we are going to is about 14½ hours away my question is I currently have Brixstynn RF I thought about FF him for this trip and this trip ONLY I asked hubby what he thought about it and typical male he said that's a mom's decision mom's should I keep him RF or should I allow him to be FF for the trip?

RF is always safest. However, My daughter is the same age and we just bought her a FF car seat because she met the weight/height and outgrew her RF seat. I think he might be ready to see the world Mama.
