Should I buy a pregnancy pillow??

Hi ladies! I hope you’re all doing amazing today! I need some opinions here… I’m starting to get bigger and more uncomfy, especially at night. Does anyone have a pregnancy pillow? Does it really help you sleep better or be more comfortable? I keep seeing videos of them, but I am not sure if I’m being influenced or if they’re actually helpful. Thanks!

I bought one early on because I’m pregnant with twins and very quickly realized I’m more comfortable without it butttt it all depends on what aches and pains you have

Best decision you would ever make. I’ve been having mine since I was like 13 weeks.!!!! it’s legit really hard for me to sleep without it🩷🩷🩷

I love my pregnancy pillow! I got it during my first pregnancy and it was a game changer…I’ve been struggling with sciatic pain and it really helped me. I’ve got one from Momcozy. My husband calls it the spaceship 😂

I LOVED mine used it every night and naps during the day!! helped my back pain and sciatica significantly🩵

I loved my pregnancy pillow I used it for a while but ended up throwing it out because it got puked on one too many times 😅😬

I just use a normal pillow between my legs

I would say it totally depends on how you’ve been feeling. My first pregnancy was a singleton, I bought a pregnancy pillow and rarely used it. However, this time, I’m pregnant with twins and have had really bad sciatica and problems sleeping since about 10 weeks. So the pregnancy pillow has helped tremendously this time around! I’m sure you’ve done your research and have noticed there are many different kinds of pregnancy pillows! Some are more simple and may be more of what you’re looking for - something that will support the belly and keep you from lying on your back. Like Jamila said, it depends on what aches and pains you have been experiencing.

Never liked them. I just use a king sized pillow and put my leg over and use it for side belly support.

I've got a wedge pillow to go under my bump and it's been helpful but I think I'm at that stage now where everything is uncomfortable and nothing helps 😣

Avatar

I considered it, but passed on it because I'd have no use for it later, and would end up being tossed or stored, taking up unnecessary space. I just used regular pillows and stuffed them around my legs and body for comfort!

Avatar

I highly recommend it. It’s helped me a lot.

I need to invest in one immediately 😂

Yes!

Yes the ladies on here influenced me. I didn’t have one with my first and it makes a difference.
An alternative is a knee pillow and just use extra pillows for other areas

I didn’t use one with my first, I just used pillows, but invested in one for this time and it’s a total game changer for me! Wayyy more comfy and helps me not wake up all sore and uncomfortable!

If you feel that stiffness in your hip on the side you sleep on and dont feel comfortable to just fall asleep go for a small pillow than size up if need be. I use the mini babybub because i just need hip, lower back and belly support. I dont like regular pillows because they dont have yhe support i need and to maneuver in between leg cramps and switching sides i needed something that was flexible for me.

I got rhe Momcozy U shaped full body pregnancy pillow and looooovvveeeed it!

I would say it’s necessary if you have back pain otherwise a king size pillow does the job fine! I like to keep my pregnancy pillow on hand, but most nights I don’t sleep with it and left. My back really hurts.

Avatar

I have one and honestly it makes it harder to get up but other than that it lets me lay on my sides more comfortably

I’ve had one from the beginning and I love it. I take it with me if I travel

Seeing a lot of October babies announcements on social media

😳 I feel like I’m the only one who haven’t announced my October baby! Everyday I open social media and someone is announcing their October baby and I even started to see some November babies being announced.

So annoyed, dog jumped on me :( now I’m anxious

I have a big dog and she NEVER jumps.. today I came home and my mum was with me visiting and my dog must have just got over whelmed and she jumped and ended up scratching my lower back,

with that I’ve bent backwards almost and stretched my lower belly and it didn’t hurt as such just felt like tha shock ligament pain but ofc I haven’t actually bent that far since being pregnant and now I just feel anxious really and just need some reassurance. It only happened about 15 mins ago and I have felt baby a little since

But why is there always something to worry about!😭

Am I a bad mom?

Hey guys, im pregnant with my second baby and im having a hard time with it.

I wanted to have a second baby so so bad and my husband and I started trying and got pregnant a few months later.. so far i have hated everything about this pregnancy, the morning sickness started at 5 weeks and lasted till about week 17, im uncomfortable walking, sitting, standing, laying down. im 24 weeks now and I cant get excited about anything. I dont look at baby clothes and get excited to meet my baby, I can feel baby kicking a lot more and I dont get excited about that. I cant wait for this pregnancy to be over but because im miserable and not because I want to meet my baby.

My last pregnancy i was terrified, it was unplanned and I wasn't married (my family is religious) but I still felt lots of love and care towards my baby and couldn't wait to meet him and the closer I got to my due date the more excited I got to meet him.

What is wrong with me this pregnancy? I don't understand why i cant seem to get excited about anything, especially meeting my baby.. its making me feel like a horrible mother. I know deep down i love and care for this baby, but I still feel emotionally disconnected from this pregnancy for some reason..

Any advice is welcome, I just want to know why i feel this way and any ideas on how to change it so I can get excited to meet my baby..🥺

NIPT

Has anyone gone for there nipt testing yet?

I just got my nipt results back and they all came back inconclusive because of low fetal fraction, I was 10 weeks 6 days when I got it done and there wasn’t enough fetal dna for any results.
