We have 2 Nuby rapid cools and a insulator. I have seen on TikTok people prep their rapid cools for the night and use a thermal flask as it stays hotter for longer.
My questions is, does any one use this method? I thought you had to sterilise the nubys after every use and could only use them once every 4 hours?
Would appreciate this advice xx

I'm about to start using a rapid cool and from what I've seen if you are using the hot shot method you only have water in the rapid cool, therefore you don't need to sterilise after every use. The flask is to keep the water about 70⁰ for the hot shot - at least that's what I think 🤔

We use this method!
We take a thermos flask of boiled water upstairs with us at night along with the rapid cool.
If you’re putting formula into the rapid cool then yes it will need to be sterilised after each use 😊 we have 2 rapid cools and alternate between them so there’s time for washing and sterilising between.
Some people use the hot shot method (loads of videos on TikTok!) so only water goes into the rapid cool, no formula. The only thing with the hotshot method is that you’re only adding a small amount of the hot water to the formula rather than the full amount of hot water that the formula brand recommends for that amount of formula to kill the bacteria 😊
I used the hotshot method for my 1st though and he was fine!!
Hope that helps xx

Personally we would make up our bottles before we went to bed, pop them in the fridge and then once baby wakes one parent would change their nappy whilst the other would go and put a bottle in the bottle warmer. Ready in a couple mins perfect temp!

I use the rapid cool with water only, get it to the right temperature and then add it to the bottle, and then add the formula, before shaking it all together.
This has been working fine for us so far. Can't be dealing with sterilising it after every use.
Also use a flask for the water, as this keeps it hotter longer than the nuby.
