Hey all, this is my second girlie and my first wasn’t born until 42 weeks (after not the best hospital and birth situation). I’m now 40+2 and have, yet again, absolutely no signs of anything happening any time soon.
I had a comforting 40 week appointment at the midwife where she said she could tell I was feeling overwhelmed by the imminent discussions around sweeps and inductions and said we could hold off till 41 weeks to see if baby decided to come on their own. But as I say, I’ve got no signs, and I truly believe I create babies that like to stay in my belly longer 🙈
Is anyone else in the same boat? And how are you feeling?

You ain’t the only one my first was 5 days overdue and I’m having a feeling this baby will be overdue as I’ve passed my due date and no signs at all ! I have another sweep booked in for Monday and I’m hoping something happens as I’m tryna avoid induction next Saturday.

This is me right now!!
Where is she 👀

First time mum here, still waiting, I’ll be 41 weeks tomorrow & no signs of labour! I had a sweep on Wednesday, but baby girl appears to be very comfy! I want to avoid induction if possible but it seems I’ll be heading that way 🫠

My first 2 were both born 40+2 I'm 41 weeks today and just waiting for the hospital to ring to be induced. Didn't really want to be induced but I really didn't expect to go this far I'm just so drained and ready to meet her.

I felt the same way and finally gave in to be booked for a sweep on 16th of march to have my lil one but on the 12th of march as soon as I woke up I started feeling contractions and was glad I waited. Baby boy was born 41 weeks+1 and even the day before I had zero signs that I would wake up the next day and have him. I say move around go for a walk and probably get a foot massage as there's pressure points in the ankle/ sole of the foot. Even a nice warm bath to relax body! Wishing you a beautiful & safe delivery ❤️

I had my first at 11 days after the due date and my second at 7 days after. That's all very much within the normal range!
You're not actually 'overdue' until after 42 weeks, btw!

My first was at 41+1, second at 41+3 (both spontaneous labour, no sweeps or induction). I’m 39 weeks now with my third so I’m expecting it will likely be 41 weeks plus. I knew that talk of induction and sweeps would make me stressed, even feeling comfortable with going up to 42 weeks, so I had a chat with my midwife at my 38 week appointment and said I wouldn’t have induction or a sweep until I’m 42 weeks (actually later because I’m 42 weeks on Good Friday, the day before my daughters birthday so I didn’t want to be induced then so I’ve said the Tues after which will be 42+3). She was fine with that and said I’d just need a phone call with the obstetrician about “birthing outside of guidelines” once I got to 42 weeks. It’s hard because you hear of so many people having theirs before 40 weeks and waiting is haaaaaaard
