I just found out I may need to be induced early due to preeclampsia and having a generally bigger baby which of the ways to be induced do y’all recommended?

If I have to be induced I will ask first for a membrane sweep or even two, and if that doesn't work perssaries, I want to avoid being given an iv induction.

I had the pessary, gels and hormone drip. I'd have the first two again but absolutely refuse to have the drip again, that (for my experience) was awful

I had just the pessary both times and would do it again if needed! and I had 2 water births :)

Anything but the drip. The drip can stress baby out. If you get the drip its mote successful further down the labour you are.
The drip caused my labour to fail it stressed my daughter out and she pooped. I was 1cm so there wasnt time to allow me to progress without risking her taking her poo in

I had the pessary and didn’t need anything else as my waters broke 23 hours after it was inserted

I started drinking induction/ contraction tea (recipe given by my midwife) a week before my induction date and had the oxytocin gel applied . I refused to get an IV drip because they are not able to set up the right dosage because every woman reacts differently.

I wasn’t able to have a hormonal induction, so was given the balloon catheter (also called foley balloon or cooks balloon) and I wouldn’t recommend it. It works for some women, so this is just my experience, but my body wasn’t ready for induction and it was incredibly painful and unsuccessful. I ended up having a c section.

I just had the pessary and didn’t need anything else x
