Are you all giving vitamin D for EBF babies? My little boy is 2 months old and only now I started giving it to him but I feel guilty as I was told to start at 1 month

Nope as breastfeeding is supposed to give baby everything they need so I don't.

I was told to give mine vit d drops from newborn but I was convinced they were making her tummy sad in the evenings so I stopped for a few weeks and have been taking vit d tablets myself. Had our 6-8week health visitor check last week and she said I need to be giving her the drops so suggested to give them to her first thing and let her body absorb it during the day 🥴 I've just restarted them now.

I keep forgetting but I try and give in most days! Ebf babies need it as we don’t have enough vit d ourselves for it to pass onto them - vitamins are added to formula though I think! I use Holland and Barrett vitamin d drops for babies which I recommend as you only need to give 2 drops a day

Breastfed babies need it whereas formula fed babies dont. I keep forgetting but am trying my best x

I have good weeks and bad weeks. I have a 8 week EBF baby and so far I’m on a bad week that’s lasted 3 weeks 😂😅

I have the drops. I can remember everything else in the day except to give vitamin D drops. I dont know why theyre consistently the one thing I forget. So she gets them 2 times a week...at best

Yep, however I do forget them at times. When he has a bottle I put it in there but he doesnt have a bottle every day so then I sometimes forget. Same as with his probiotics

Yes I have been giving it to my son since he was about 2 weeks old

I was told from newborn but kept forgetting to put the drops on my boob before feeds. I set up a new routine and put it on the nightstand and put it on first thing each morning feed before getting up. I still forget now and again but it's become routine like brushing my teeth. Routine will help. Alternatively, you can get drops you pop in their mouths I believe🤷 don't feel guilty though, most mums forget or don't bother. You are already doing a great job!
