So I saw a post on another platform where someone was wondering why anyone would buy natural diamonds anymore since they have lab dimonds now and I commented
"I told my husband I want dinosaur poop diamonds not dog poop dimonds. lab dimonds could be made from anything natural dimonds are made from life on our planet billions of years ago and that to me makes them beautiful.
but there are businesses where you can send ashes of your loved ones and they will make you dimonds out of there ashes so I will be doing that with my 1st dog when he passes. my husband and I have also already decided that when we die he is going to be turned into dimonds and made into bracelets and im going to be turned into necklaces for our children. so they can always hold us close to them rather than just sitting in a jar or in the ground. might as well speed up the process. š
In my opinion the dimonds that you are able to choose what they are made out of are more special and valuable rather than dimonds that are most likely made of trash or rotting food."

Now you have me thinking about turning myself into a Diamond for my daughter but what if she loses me ? š

I would never buy real diamonds, it just seems extremely ego centric and wasteful knowing how unethical diamond mining is and even the ones you can get a cert for ethical sourcing seems pretty shady, like slapping ācage freeā on a carton of eggs yet thereās a million suffering chickens stuffed inside a dingy shed with no air or sunlight. Plus the whole diamond industry is basically a sham they arenāt that rare and they donāt need to be that expensive, and thereās prettier stones, some people just really care about societal norms though and ātraditionalā stuff

diamond is literally just carbon in a 3D lattice
if you need unethical mining on your very boring lattice of carbon because donāt donāt want a lab grown one then i think that says a lot about the kind of person you are
lab grown diamonds have far less imperfections aswell and most people canāt even tell the difference - i feel like it should be a no brainer to pick the more ethical product especially when theyāre so much cheaper too

My 3 carat lab diamond is a million times better than a diamond that a small child is getting held at gun point to dig out of the ground. Blood diamonds are gross.

Either way I donāt care. I tend to go with lab grown or āfakeā just because they are cheaper. I own some real diamonds. But most of my jewelry is fake.

I like natural or lab created gems, sapphires etc. instead of diamonds

As someone with a natural diamond, do Lab. The world needs to stop putting value onto luxury items because itās actually really foolish when you think about it.

I donāt care for diamonds and donāt wand a lab grown one.
Iāve decided I love Montana sapphires now.

The only diamonds I own are on my wedding and engagement rings. Both are lab diamonds and you canāt tell. I felt it was more important to spend that money elsewhere as we were due with our first child and planning our small wedding. To me the rings are a symbol of your love and commitment and it shouldnāt matter if they are lab grown diamonds or naturally occurring.

It is fantastic that lab diamonds exist. It removes the cruelty behind natural diamonds' production.
Actually I would think anyone who is obsessed with getting real diamonds has questionable ethics.
Edit: ... And both are real diamonds, they are not "fake". Even certified mined diamonds are not free of ethical issues.

Cheaper, easier, more ethical, my engagement ring was lab grown per my request.

my everyday engagement ring is natural diamond and i got a lab diamond ring to wear when traveling. so both i guess lol

Lab grown just as good as natural if not better!

As someone that worked with diamonds before. Lab are 100% time better. The min you walk out of a store with a diamond it loses its value by 75% . Useless things. Better off getting a pretty gemstone instead
