Hello ladies 🤍
At my 20-week anatomy scan, everything was normal and my baby’s femur length was around the 75th percentile.
Now at 35 weeks, the femur length measured 6.34 cm and dropped to the 3rd percentile (about 2.5 weeks behind). I’m honestly feeling really anxious about it.
My doctor reassured me that everything else looks normal — head and abdominal measurements are on track, and the overall proportions (including abdomen-to-leg ratio) look normal too. They said it’s likely just that the baby has shorter legs and nothing concerning.
Still, I can’t help but worry 🥺 Has anyone experienced something similar? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.
Thank you so much 🤍

Hey! Do not stress! I had the same thing happen and baby was perfectly fine! Femur is perfect although it measured short and they were concerned. Those measurements are to be taken with a grain of salt. They are estimates. I wish someone would have told me not to stress bc my boy was born 8 lbs 11 ounces and continues to grow above 75% percentiles for height and 84 percentile for weight. All will be ok! 🤎

My baby girl was 1st percentile & each scan was so nerve wrecking! She was born super tiny 4 lbs 3 oz at 37 weeks. No abnormalities, or current issues. She’s healthy with no concerns from pediatrician. She was just small! (her dad & I are on the smaller side). Hope this helps! :)
