Anyone having issues with getting their baby to nap during the day? Everywhere you look online and in books it talks about the wake windows being so short, but my 5 week old has literally been awake for 7 hours straight. Have done all the obvious feeding, changing, rocking.
He sleeps at night thankfully but just fighting it during the day.

My 5 week old is doing the same thing. You’re not alone! My first wasn’t like this at all so it’s hard for sure. Especially when trying to care for a toddler who is used to being the center of all my attention :(

I followed the “wake window” guidelines with my first and now with my second I’ve not googled one thing. Every baby is so different so follow their cues not the average guidelines xxx

Every baby is so different. My LO was exactly as you describe - might have the odd accidental contact nap post feeding? Then from 4.5 months suddenly needed 3 naps a day (of 20-30 mins), 2.5 hours apart. She is almost 7 months now and has stuck with this 🤷♀️ they don’t read the books & every baby is different, so if baby is happy don’t worry ❤️

I wouldn’t say 7 hours for us but definitely 2-3 hours and then has a 10 minute snooze on my chest and up again. So it feels like he’s awake all day. Sleeps well at night too. He’s very different from my first as well because my first took 3-4 hour naps at this age. Just follow his cues x
