Leaky nappy advice

We use mamia nappies and have had no issue until now. We are using size 3 but she is leaking through them every night as she sleeps through the night. We’ve tried 4+ for night but they are still too big. Does anyone have any advice or any other brand that might hold more in a size 3?

Size 3 onwards was rubbish for my son back in 2022 so obviously hasn’t changed much🤦🏼‍♀️ we tried Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and finally went with Sainsbury’s own after that but we did use pampers just at night for quite some time because it was the only one that would hold overnight!

I initially tried Mamia for my baby as a cheaper option but she kept leaking and having wet clothes. Consequently, I had to stick with Pampers; it’s expensive but worth it. I also buy Pampers in bulk from Vinted in advance. Sometimes I get them cheaper than the market price even after postage.
Might be worth having a look at Vinted or maybe buy one from the store and give it a try xx

It seems to be a universal thing that once you get to size 3 in Mamia they leak 😅 we went on to Pampers after and they’ve never let us down!

We use little Rascals for night sleeping, as we was having same issue, upto now they have being good

We found this too! Switched to Sainsbury’s own and have had no leaks

We use pampers for the night and the Sainsbury’s brand for the day

Just use pampers for the night 😀 that’s what my friend suggested and it’s bulletproof so far. Mamia by day.

Asdas did this with my oldest once she reached size 4. The crystals would litterallly burst it was that bad 🙈 we've used boots bamboo nappies since birth with the youngest and she's on size 5 now with no issues

Another vote for pampers. The only one that doesn’t leak at night for us.

Pampers

Rascals are great

We had this problem with Mamia size 3s! So switched to pampers during the day and Peachies at night, both expensive but definitely worth it

We use pampers overnight - it's the only brand we've found to contain the majority of leaks. Expensive, but worth it. They are usually on offer at a supermarket so look out for that to get them at a better price, and sign up to the Pampers club to earn points and get money off

We had a similar issue as soon as we hit size 3 of Tesco, we found Sainsbury’s did the same too we only found it stopped once he was big enough to be in size 4 😂😂 maybe size 3 is just a weird size for us all hahaa

I use fred and flo for both my kids and they never leak through for my eldest i do have to size up but my baby I don't they hold loads

Avatar

Second Fred and Flo too, used to use Pampers but the cost 🙈. Used to swear by Mamia for my eldest but they've been so hit and miss 2nd time around x

Avatar

We had this then moved to pampers which worked out well for us x

Avatar

Fred and Flo and ildi work well for us size 3 x

Avatar

Her vest might be too tight and causing it to leak.

Avatar

We use pampers. Had the same issue when we got to size 3 with Mamia nappies.

Speech

Hi everyone I am just at such a loss here. My son isn’t saying any clear words. He has been in speech therapy since he was 16 months and was of course evaluated for autism but they didn’t see any signs of autism in him so that can’t be it. He does use some gestures and understands quite a bit. His little brother is arriving in August and I’m really hoping some words will come before then. Any one else experience this with their child before 2 and then words came??

Baby hitting themselves

Hey everyone, I hate going to Google because it just makes you feel very uncomfortable afterwards. My 18 month old has recently in the past week started to hit himself on the head with his hands and sometime in our play room foam floor he will hit his head against the ground. I googled (i know your not supposed to) and it said that it can be a sign of frustration of not being able to communicate. When he would hit himself i would obviously react and grab his hands and say no sternly. I dont know if my reaction has made it worse because it has become more frequent. He sometimes will go to hit me and once has went to go bite me. Can someone give me some advice.

Colic / reflux baby

Hi everyone, my little girl will be 5 weeks old tomorrow. I’m a first time mum and my girls really struggling with what we think is colic. When she was 2 weeks old she was sick while we was out and it was bright yellow and she screamed and was in so much pain so I took her to A&E and they said it was gastro colic. She went weeks without any symptoms but this last week she has been in constant pain and discomfort. She’s drinking around 5oz of cow&gate every 3-4 hours but is in pain while drinking and pain hours after the bottle. Night time she seems to be settled especially after a bath but in the day she won’t be put down. We have plenty of wet of dirty nappies and thankfully she hasn’t lost any weight. We currently use the mam anti colic bottles but have purchased the tommee tippee advanced anti colic to try and are wondering if to try her on some new milk like the Kendamil comfort? We’ve raised this issue with the health visitor but unfortunately got the “I told you breast is best” comment and got next to no advice, when we’ve spoke to the GP their response is to contact health visitor so at this point we are just going round in circles. She’s a very sicky baby and will projectile vomit all her bottle up at least once a day so feeds are very strict in the sense of keeping her upright while drinking & for at least 30 minutes after a bottle and paced feeding/ burping after so many OZs.

Any advice would be massively appreciated.

Circumcision question

So my son got circumcised before leaving the hospital he’s 3 days old and they told me the day after leaving to take it off which is today and just add a lot of Vaseline to the area to help it and when we took him to his pediatrician he told us to just keep adding Vaseline on top of the gauze and it’ll fall off on its own but now I’m worried that it’ll get stuck to his skin if it sits to long. What do you feel I should do
