Hi all,
I was wondering whether nurseries their child / children attend have put on any stay and play sessions, particularly themed for occasions. If so were there many activities set up for the session or was it more so free play with your child?

We went to a mothers day stay and play with my 9 month old recentley, there was a few stations like painting, water play and book corner, but it wasnt really as themed as i expected, it was just everone letting thier babies roam and play. I dont think it was much different than an average day at nursery apart from parents being there. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it and it was nice to meet and chat to the mums xx

My nursery did a Mother’s Day stay & play on Thursday morning. It was basically just a chance to have a play with my son in his nursery setting, and then they sent us out two at a time where they had set up a little station with soil and flowers and a pot that had already been ‘decorated’ (just scribbled on by my son) so we could pick a plant and put it in the pot together. We then went back to the room to play some more (my son was mainly just playing with cars and the digging area in their garden) and I took the flower pot with me on the way home.
