🗣 When did taking care of ourselves become the LAST thing on the list?

• we make sure everyone else eats 🍽️.
• everyone else is okay.
• everyone else gets what they need.

🤷♀️ At what point did you realize like... "okay… I need to start pouring into ME again"? 💭

Ain't no time for me if im home then im maid thats why I started the gym (free babysitting)

I think for me when I was pregnant I made a promise not to neglect myself and to let go…after the 4th trimester was up (3-4m pp) and life was all baby-consuming I looked at myself in the mirror and said it was time. Took a long time, I ended up losing 44lbs in a year, but small daily tasks to my self care and focusing on my internal and physical and emotional needs made me a better mum, my pink faded a lil bit I didn’t lose it totally but I promised myself I wouldn’t. It did come back for me. I do have the support to do that though. We have to be a lil bit selfish and feel little to no guilt to do that and I guess that’s what holds back so many mums. It helps that my IG feed is full of self care and motivational stuff that propels me

Ive got hourly motivation quotes on my lock screen along with weekly affirmations and absolutely yes the free babysitting was a huge selling point 🤣 also whats sm?
