Intimacy question

Hey mamas. Do any of you experience painful intercourse nowadays? Like I’m not talking a little discomfort, I’m talking like I’m almost in tears it hurts so bad. Idk if that’s normal being pretty fresh postpartum or not..?

Unfortunately, yes. I went and got a check because i felt like maybe my stitches had scar tissue or something. But she told me I had very "angry dry patches" inside 🙃 she recommended a lubricant suppository to use daily and it really did help.

At first it was painful and I think it’s because everything was trying to go back in its place and your hormone levels are normalizing. It will eventually get better as time goes on. The 6 weeks after birth without intercourse can be hard but it’s necessary in my opinion so it doesn’t hurt as much

Yes! Pretty painful feels like rug burn. I would say use lube and take it as slow as possible. Also if you look it up it has alot to do with our hormones still making things tight. Cervix has been closed for a long time and dry. and our hormones are still working in the same capacity for a while. I found it got better 4-5 months PP. but in the beginning it was pretty rough. Be patient with yourself.

Yeah for me wetness isn't an issue, it's more like I'm closed up so tight and nothing will help it relax. Incredibly painful. I was told to schedule an appt with a pelvic floor specialist and have been doing excersizes from online.

I have found that doggy style is very painful but other positions are fine usually
