7 month old wild child

My son who is 7 months old is crawling and standing. He crawls really fast and then will just stand out of nowhere and sometimes falls backwards or throws himself forward. He also is trying to pull up on things and then will loose his balance and take a tumble. We have rugs but our whole house is hardwood. At this point I can’t even trust him to sit without me being behind him because he goes into a standing position. I feel like I have to have a hand on him at all times. How do you guys keep your babies from getting hurt?

My boy did this too! He was walking by eight months. I got him one of those backpacks that has a pillow for his head. You can find them on Amazon. Otherwise, I let him explore freely. When he got hurt he knew he could come to me for comfort, and I always made sure he wasn’t around sharp edges. We had to get rid of some furniture for sure. But he learned early to catch himself and now he’s very agile! Everyone is amazed, but I think it’s because I let him fall (within reason).

You let them fall because that is the only way they learn. You already have rugs. We had the alphabet playmats which I don't recommend as they are a pain to keep putting back together every wake window. I ended up crazy glueing the letters into the mats one day because I was so fed up

Is it cheating

My husband just told me that at work he and his male friends/coworkers pinch each others nipples as like a joke, I think it’s inappropriate and it’s cheating in a way and he does not agree he thinks it’s just funny and nothings wrong with it

A full 8 hours

My 1 month and five week old newborn just slept 8 hours. I genuinely don’t know who blessed me, but good lord am I thankful. We really only woke up a few times to put her binky back in her mouth. She did just got home from the NICU and adjustment was pretty hard for the past few nights, so she certainly deserves a lot of sleep. Just happy to see her feeling more comfortable.

Baby hates me?

Why does my baby hate me. All she wants from me is to be fed and then screams and screams at me, she settles with everyone else and i don't understand what im doing wrong. I feel like the worst mum ever and am really struggling.

Witching hour??

Pretty sure my 7 week old has a strict “lose all chill at 6pm” policy 😅

Evenings = crying, pacing, questioning my life choices 😂

Fed, burped, cuddled… still a bit of a mystery. Any tips from mums who survived this stage? How did you get through the evening chaos?!

Is nursery a bit out of line?

Today I learned that my son was “seen by someone” when picking him up. Apparently speech therapist saw him in the nursery to evaluate him and I only learned about it on pick up.

No warning, no even proper explanation of what triggered it. With one staff member saying “he is not speaking at all”, and another dismissing it and saying it’s completely normal.

And everyone seem to dismiss my shock as he is the most chatty happiest child at home.

So it triggers me that instead of finding a way to get him “open up” and make him feel secure so he starts speaking naturally. They now decided he needs to be “fixed” and probably push him into more anxiety with it. Without even consulting us.

Front sleeping

My baby is 9 months old and I was told a while back that the sleep should always start in there back, is this true and why?
My baby always wants to front sleep now and I’m fighting every night to get the sleep to start on his back or side
