Help - trapped gas

My baby struggles to fart and poop. She looks so uncomfortable and tries to strain. I've tried infacol and dentanox. But no luck. I've tried massage, bicycle kicks and bathing but no luck. Only a few pumps. Anyone got any other tricks to try? Desperate tired mummy 🫩

Warm baths always helped my little one, it’s awful to see them that way. Thinking of you!

Google the colic hold for some pics, but basically: Lay the baby tummy-down along your forearm. Their head rests near your elbow crease, and their legs drape on either side of your hand. Use your hand to support their crotch or inner thighs and your other hand to pat their back.

The gentle pressure on my little one's belly seemed to help a lot ❤️

If she’s formula fed give her the ready made in a bottle instead of the powder once. Worked for mine every time

Gripe water did wonders for my little one who was in the same state

i gave my little one a few sips of water before her next bottle when she was really struggling to pass wind/ poo and she managed to have one later that day. It looked like it relieved her a lot. We had the same issue though where she looked in a lot of pain constantly straining x

How old is she?

Not sure if it’s available in GB but mylicon gas drops are a life saver. The effect was instantaneous!

Did you try the whole body wiggle method. I found bicycle legs did nothing but I saw a video where you gently wiggly their abdomen and did the tummy massage after. That moved a lot of wind

Standing???

Anyone else’s 7 month old standing up and trying to take steps??? My son can fully stand without support and is now trying to take steps. I feel like it’s too early?…

Excuse the mess, I’m doing a late night deep clean and he’s doing the opposite of helping 😂

Cheap Car Seat

Hi all,

I need a cheap car seat for my mums car just for when she looks after my daughter incase she needs to pop out.

I ain’t particularly concerned over safety because it’s literally for emergencies only, as she plans everything around childcare - but I need something just incase she needs to go out.

Ideally looking for something under £80 - my daughters nearly 2 x

How much does your baby eat

Hello,

How much does your baby eat?

My boy is 4 months (17 + 5 weeks) and he weights 7kg (born 3.5kg)
Sometimes I have feeling he is eating too much…
From yesterday I had to start giving him more food as he started crying after food and asking for more. (100% formula)
He eats around 1.3L in 24 hours (6 feeds with 5 being during the day and 1 overnight) . On internet it says baby can eat 150-200ml per 1kg body weight so in theory my baby can eat max 1.4L so it would tell me he is not eating too much… just on higher end.
Then on internet it says baby shouldn’t eat more than 32oz (900ml) in 24 hours. So I’m a bit confused…

Just wondering if it’s something I should be concerned of or not.
Thanks in advance

Sleep struggle 5 month old

Hi, my baby is 5 months old and I’m really struggling with his sleep.
I understand that waking for feeds is normal, but he wakes up almost every hour. He usually goes to sleep around 8:00–9:00 pm and gives one longer stretch of about 2 hours. After that, the wake-ups become very frequent. For example, if he wakes around 1:00 am, he then starts waking every 1 to 1.5 hours.
Most of the time, he doesn’t even feed properly he just keeps the nipple in his mouth for comfort and falls back asleep.
I’m feeling extremely exhausted and sleep deprived. He is exclusively breastfed and does not accept a bottle at all.
I’m not sure how to manage this situation or how to break this pattern. Any advice would really help.
