William Harvey planned C section ?

Has anyone had a planned c section recently at WHH. I’m being told I may need to have a c section at 39 weeks (not what I want so I’m pushing back a bit but they will review at 36weeks)
I had an emergency one there 4 years ago (Covid times) so I’m hoping my experience this time will be different if it has to happen that way.

I’d be interested on anyone’s views on the hospital and the process in general, good and bad and if anyone has any insights on emergency c section vs planned.

Also, were your partners able to stay overnight while you remained in hospital. One of my biggest issues from before was being sliced open, catheter in, not able to move much and being left to look after a new born alone as the staff weren’t much help and husband got sent home.

I did in August. I was slightly unusual as I got my date at 16 weeks. And delivered at 38 weeks.

It was so calm and relaxing. My partner stayed overnight. I was first of the day and was out in 23 hours.

I did. I felt empowered and the surgeon did a great job. My baby sadly had to spend some time in the NICU, had that not been the case we would have been home the next day.

I joined a ward where there were a couple of women waiting for elective c sections autumn 2024 after an assisted delivery (folkstone ward maybe?). I listened to them communicate preferences, they went in and out so smoothly. Lol very third hand experience but looked great to me :)

11 weeks pp and pregnant?!

Im absolutely shitting myself, me and my partner have been so carefull (we use condoms and he also pulls out) but im late on my period and i cant get to the shop for a few days due to no car and im thinking im possibly pregnant. When i was pregnant before the animals were different the dog became more protective of me and the cat hated me and always tried to bite me. and they have recently been the same. Im trying to think if i have any possible early symptoms so i can convince myself im not 😂 the only thing i have is feeling sick alot and nauseous lol.
what was everyones first symptoms when you’ll were pregnant???

Leaking waters?

I’m 35 weeks today wooo but… every morning for the past two weeks I’ve woken up with a palm sized water mark in my pants! - no smell, no pain and unaware of it happening…

I thought it might be leaking waters so got it checked out but the midwife said it was might be urine/watery discharge! - but it’s still happening.. thoughts? 💭🫶🏻

Pelvic girdle pain and birth

I have been experiencing awful pain. More so recently. I'm now using crutches to get around but it's more painful at night and when I lay down or sit down. I'm worried about birthing. I've got other issues and baby boy is estimating 8pounds at 36 weeks. I've been booked in for an induction 9 days prior to my due date. Surely he's going to be even bigger and I just don't feel like I've had any birth discussions in detail really. Ive only seen midwife twice and each time I've seen a consultant it's someone different. Has anyone else experienced awful pelvic pain and birthed a big baby?

Upcoming C-section.

So I’ve decided to go for an elective C-section, I know it’s the right choice after months of deliberating but I’m soooooo nervous.

I’ve had 2 very complicated births. I kinda know what to expect from the recovery as I had an emergency section with my first but I just feel nervous about being awake during it & what it feels like.. I’ve heard they strap your arms down and I’m scared of something going wrong.

I know every experience is different but if you’re happy to share what your elective was like for you (good and bad) id be very grateful. I feel really unprepared!
