Baby congestion relief

My baby gets very congested particularly at night time and gets a very blocked nose and starts snorting. I’m looking into getting an air purifier/ humidifier to try and help any recommendations/tips?

Will bring up during my HV appointment next week also!

My baby has had this since she was 2.5 weeks (although it’s slowly getting better - she’s 7 weeks now). I took her to the gp for it when it was particularly bad and he said it’s normal and “well she doesn’t have it right now so she’s fine”. The HV and the specialist nurse both also said it’s normal and she’ll just grow out of it. Either way, to manage it we used a saline nasal spray and the aspirator just before her bedtime feed every night and then any time it was particularly bad during her night time feeds. Our room was always kept between 50-60 humidity (which is the recommended level for babies so we skipped the humidifier). We also tried a steamy bathroom which did help but again all just temporary relief to manage it. One thing I don’t know if it’s related or if she has just gotten better with age, I started taking an antihistamine for my hayfever just this week after clearing it with the HV and weirdly her congestion has been little to none at all (I’m ebf). I hope this helps!

Am I making the right choice?

I have recently decided to go for an elective C-section.
If this was your last birth experience would you do the same? I know it’s an individual choice but I keep doubting myself but I just had such a bad time… 😞

It was a Vbac …. Ended with…

-episiotomy with forceps
-retained placenta
-2litres blood loss with transfusion.
-GBS positive (probably going to be positive again)
-since birth 4 years ago i have been having issues with bowel incontinence 🙈

Husband help

FTM
We have to have an early elective c section for medical reasons on Friday. My husband seems not to understand recovery at all, suggesting we have his brother's within the week and go out for dinner etc at 2 weeks as I should have 'recovered' by then. This seems too much to me, am I being unreasonable?

Questioning if I should be concerned

I had an etopic pregnancy last January which resulted in losing my right tube.

We just found out we were pregnant 2 weeks ago when I was 8dpo and since then, my line progression has done well. I ended up getting bloodwork done last week on Thursday which my hcg was 88 which I didn’t know until today after my ultrasound-

Today I am to be 5 weeks and 2 days well..

I had an ultrasound vaginal and stomach, I was told she couldn’t see anything and I was asking if we should be concerned. The nurse then told me what my hcg was on Thursday and said that it is very very early. I told her why we came early was to make sure we do not lose another tube. She said they wouldn’t see it until 6 plus weeks.

I just don’t know if I should be worried about her not seeing a gestational sac- nothing. And I was told to come back in 3 weeks.

Does my hcg of being 88 truly mean I am earlier then what I had thought.

Just looking for some comfort please, I don’t want to go through waves of feeling like everything is going to be alright and then crashing.

My line progression and flo dates I apparently ovulated on the 3rd of March

Should I be concerned. I am thinking to get more labs done to see what my hcg has went up to and hopefully they can tell me if it’s good or not.

12-18 month wait

Hi - my midwife said 12-18 month wait before having another baby post c section, I think I may be pregnant again too soon to test but I just have a feeling. I’m 8M PP, so baby would be due around December which would be 17-18 months. Has anyone had a second c section in this time frame? Is it 12-18 months from c section or to get pregnant after then?
