So I have never really dealt with constipation but I am 16 weeks pregnant and really going through it. I know it’s pretty common in pregnancy but I am desperate for some relief. I haven’t been able to go properly for almost a week now and have now developed severe pain even just passing gas. I’ve been to urgent care but they only really gave me a sitz bath, tucks pads and some fiber pills. Anyone else go through this and any advice anyone can throw at me. I am in pain and desperate 😩

I’m 21 weeks pregnant, been upping my fiber intake to around 30g per day and it helps a lot in regulating my digestion. At first I logged all things I ate into an app to get a sense of how many grams of fibers I have total. Now I just eat from habits. Some foods that are in my rotation: Trader Joes high fiber cereal, wheat germ, chia seed pudding,apples with skin, avocado, etc. The key is prioritizing the ones that are already in my diet with have high fiber content. There are also fiber supplements but I haven’t those yet. I suffer the day that I have less than 20g of fiber
