Section pain

I had this. All I can say is keep up with your painkillers even if it isn't hurting all the time.

The strong painkillers start to wear off after a few days so it can hurt more as it heals.
On one side is where they tie the knots for stitches and it can be really painful where it pulls more. The only thing that really helped for me was to hold it down slightly as I was getting up or out of bed. Mine was on my left and it was easier to get out of bed on the same side and get as close to the edge as possible.
Keep taking pain meds as often as possible even if you don't feel like you need them.

Yeah I’m keeping on top of the pain meds. How do you find bes to get out of bed? I’ve found that if I try to roll onto my side, what’s when it hurts the most, but I was told log rolling out of bed and pushing myself up is the best for healing

So the way they recommend did not work for me at all 😂 I just got close to the edge and put my left foot on the floor slowly, then sort of sat up and butt pivoted so that I could put my right foot down too.
It will hurt no matter what I found so the best thing you can do is just find the way that hurts you the least or gets it over fast enough.
If you can sleep sitting up a bit that will help. I was in a hospital bed for 12 days and being able to lift the bed did help me.

One side gets more trauma than the other due to the bladder clamp. They use a little clamp on one side to hold your bladder safely out the way (that’s why a lot of us get temporary loss of sensation when we don’t realise we need to wee). Both times it was my left side and I felt it days later as the deeper internal bruising worked its way to the surface. Also by now you are more mobile so your body is starting to catch up with surgery and birth.

Also, it could be the side you are stitched up on. The ends can be more tender as that’s where the internal stitches are tied off xx

Keep on top of 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen every 4 hours. As for pain on one side of scar they cut your tissue and then rip the other side as this makes it easier to stitch back together I asked the nurse right after as I had a lot of pain.

You will feel this on and off for a while tbh. I’m 4 months postpartum and certain moves or ways I get up trigger it still. It’s just a sensitive area
