Missing normality

Is anyone else feeling like they’re missing doing normal things like chores etc?! My baby contact naps mostly and will sometimes go down in the next to me but only for half an hour or so, so I can never get anything done around the house. My partner is great in that when I’ve got the baby he does most of the household stuff but I actually want to do it, which I never thought I’d say! I just miss having a clean house and getting things done!

I do, but have to remind myself that I will miss the contact naps when she doesn't want them anymore. I do get frustrated sometimes when I just want to be able to put the washing out to dry. But I just change my thought process and it makes me feel better. I do miss a clean house

Yes I feel the exact same...wee boy is 15 weeks and I'm looking forward to the time when he will settle for others and be able to go down for naps ok. I'm hoping that won't be too long away 🤞🏻

Yes. So sometimes I give the baby to my husband and he can contact nap with him so I can just do things.

Totally normal but this phase only lasts for a short while so enjoy it while you can. If you really want a bit of normality back like doing chores I’d recommend baby wearing around the house x

Should I talk to someone about this?

Yesterday the nurse came to remove my staples and look at baby. She said she has blood under her scalp on one side. Likely from the use of a vacuum. The hospital NEVER told me and I was awake during the c section. I called the nursing line and they confirmed that a vacuum was used.

My mom also said she overheard them say they had to repair something from my last c section but the nursing line says they have no notes.

I'm really upset. They talked about informed consent but they never told me about the vacuum or what to expect after.

The nurse who came to my house told me should could become jaundice as the blood under her scalp absorbs and I will need to wake her for feeds.

Early Scans

How long did people wait for early scan, did a test last week and said 1-2 weeks pregnant, is this too early for a scan?

Is Partner allowed to stay overnight in ward?

Hey mums, I’m thinking of an elective c section in Whittington hospital. Does anyone know if my partner is allowed to stay with me overnight? I don’t have any other family members in London, and I’ve heard the hospital won’t offer a private room for C section. So wondering if they let my partner stay with me over night in a shared room or it’s gonna be a tough night me alone with a lot of pain and a newborn ?!

be honest now… how many of us have been using chatgpt throughout their pregnancy this year?

i know it’s bad but it’s 100% been my off-duty midwife, therapist, experienced friend, admin assistant, tracker, just general go-to for everything. don’t know if i could have made it this far this sane without it.
