Find a shelter near you and visit! The best way to find a good fit is to meet in person before applying or settling on one. They’ll help you through the whole process once you find one! :)

I rescued my male staffy mix when he was 4m (born 10/2020) old from a local rescue. I attended a few of their adoption events and we decided we'd do a foster with the option to adopt because my female staffy mix is dog selective and hates most other dogs. We're in MD, he came from a bad situation in Louisiana. 5 years later he's stuck with us.

Find a good shelter and they'll help find a good fit. Or I got my dog from people I know off Facebook, had him since he was a baby. Older dogs need love too though
