Newborn car seat recommendations please

We have a 2 week old baby around 7 lbs7 and his current car seat (nuna pipa next) is not fit for purpose, it doesn’t recline and it forces him into a slumped position with chin thrust to his chest. I don’t feel comfortable taking him anywhere in the car. Please can you share your recommendations for a safe and comfortable car seat suitable for a newborn?

I’ve got the Joie Versatrax travel system, but you can also buy the i-Snug 2 car seat separately. I went for the ISOFIX base, but it’s still really secure if you use the seatbelt method instead.
My little boy absolutely loves his car seat, he falls asleep almost instantly every time! It’s suitable from birth up to around 12 months, and I’ve never had any issues getting him positioned comfortably.
The main thing is just to keep adjusting it as your baby grows, we’ve just taken out the newborn insert 😭

Avionaut cosmo or pixel for a newborn are great options.

Steer clear of Ickle bubba, Cossatto, kinerkraft, Cuggl, Puggle, Miniuno or MyBabiiee. All awful fits and minimally safety tested.

Edit to add: Joie iSnug is also awful, speaking from experience with that one 🫠

Ive got the maxi cosi pebble. Not tried any others so can’t really compare but it seems fine for us and it reclines also.

Cybex T I size is perfect

We bought the Cybex cloud T for the recliner feature! It’s wonderful to be able to use when we go from car to stroller. Our baby was 7.5 lbs and fit in it perfectly from the start. Cybex also offers the cloud G for a lower price point but it is more compact.

We stayed away from nuna because their seats are more compact and we’ve known we would have a longer baby.

We did the EOS Lux 2 in 1 stroller to go with the cloud t!

Cybex cloud T i-size has been great and you can semi recline it whilst in the car and then it reclines fully to lie flat when out of the car

Night time sleep advice

Heyyy!!
We have been advised from the GP that we no longer need to wake our 7 week old to feed at night. However, at the 7 hour mark I tend to wake her as I worry about her sugar levels etc. When I do wake her she is really hard to wake. I do the usual nappy change, tickle her feet but can take about 20 mins for her to wake up. I have been told she is a healthy weight but I worry that this many hours is too long for her little age. Am I wrong for waking her after 7 hours?
(She is formula fed and currently weighs 12 pound)

Refusing nap at age2 help!

My little one is 2y 2m old. She has just all of a sudden stopped napping. Nursery told me they spend half hour with her and she won't sleep and same at home. I'm really worried nursery will stop trying. But she just will not settle down at all all of a sudden. Help please. It's way too early for her to drop the nap!

Every-time i pick my son for feeds overnight, his arms and hands are very very cold. He sleeps well but I am just curious what are you guys doing?

Postpartum sex drive

My baby is 17 months now, and I thought that by now my sex drive would be back. I still do it for hubby but it I can’t seem to actually want to. All the loose skin on my stomach is just such a turn off. I’ve come to accept I’ll probably need a tummy tuck once I’m done having kids, but I’m until then idk how I’m ever gonna have any drive. Any advice from anyone feeling the same?

14 w/o slept for 15 hrs?

She’s 14 weeks. Yesterday we decided to try putting her to bed at 8pm (she usually just comes with us at around 10/11). So we bathed, boobed and transferred to bed by 8. We kept the room dark and she slept there for an hour before waking up. I then took her back with me but she continued sleeping until 11. Woke up at 11, had her nappy changed. All happy as can be. Then slept until 3. Breastfed. Nappy changed at 5. Breastfed. Slept until 7, breastfed. Still asleep now at 11am?

Is this normal? She’s still having wet nappies, feeding, etc. should I wake her? She started trying to roll to her front yesterday, so idk if she’s just tired from the workout 😅

Trike 1 year old winter

It’s my daughter birthday next week and I was thinking about getting her a trike I really like the little Dutch one but then I’m thinking would I actually use it because it’s nearly winter so she’ll be in her pram a lot with foot muff and we don’t seem to go out a lot in pram whilst she’s awake.

Opinions if you’ve got one do you use it or waste of money?
