My LO only seems to sleep about 10 hours at night.

Only?! 10 hours is great. I have a low sleep needs bab so she manages stretches for a few hours then wakes.

10 hours is perfectly normal, bang on average if I remember rightly. 12h is a myth x

Hands in mouth

How often are your baby's hands in their mouth?

I know it's perfectly normal development but even when my 12 week old is asleep all I can hear is them having a good munch on their 'apparently' tasty hands. 😂

Don't get me started on the cheese smelling lint collectors no matter how many times I clean them throughout the day. 😂

Neurodiverse?

Really worried about my 7.5 month old. To be honest, started picking up on certain “quirks” at around 4 months old. Being a foster carer for 20 years my specialty is placements of the neurodiverse, and learning disabilities. However they have never been this tiny, and I’m wondering if these are just normal things or likely to be “something”. I’d rather not hear that she is too young, or what the difference would be, because she’s not to young to be showing signs but no, it wouldn’t make an ounce of difference , she’s literally my world.

She doesn’t sleep, at all. Maybe one nap a day, two if I’m lucky, has been since 3 months old and only ever 30 mins or less. Owlet registers over 30+ wakes a night, it’s relentless, she’s still in our bedroom for this reason.

She’s NON STOP. Constantly bouncing, wriggling, refused to be strapped in anywhere, loves to move m, rougher the better, thrown high, etc- huge sensory output. Doesn’t sit still, can’t read with her, keep her entertained for any length of time

Constantly rubs her forefinger and thumb together in cross shape all day, only one hand. Always points her feet. Hand ALWAYS in her mouth, from 2.5 months. Keeps pulling head to one side randomly.

Used to love certain toys and sensory items- now screams if she’s near them. Hates shoes and socks, laughs randomly all the time, can play for hours just with stacking cups and gets so overstimulated multiple times a day.

Settling after night wakes

Baby boy is 6 months - does anybody have any tips on how to settle my little boy back to sleep at night? Usually he wakes every hour and I have only been able to feed him to sleep… trouble is, he is breastfed but has terrible reflux so have to hold him for a while before I put him back down. After the first wake, he won’t go back down in his cot, he ends up in bed with us, but I don’t want this to be the norm. He won’t take a dummy either and screams if put down awake 😢 running off little sleep, any tips appreciated x

Sleep regression - first signs?

For those of you who are in the throes of the 4 month sleep regression, were there any initial signs this was coming? My daughter is still ok overnight atm (touch wood) but during the day she is pretty much guaranteed to wake up after 40 mins on the dot and I am wondering if this is a sign of what’s to come at night. We didn’t have any regressions with my first (unicorn) baby so unsure what I am looking out for/whats in store?!

Short naps!

Hi mamas, my boy has only had 30 min naps since he was newborn. He does 3x 30 min naps a day and im unsure if this is due to him not knowing how to link his sleep cycles.

He sleeps great at night with 1 wake up around 3am but generally will sleep from 6:30-6, we co sleep so I definitely think I’m that factors into him sleeping well at night.

Is anyone in the same boat with the short naps? We’re thinking of putting him into his own room soon so I don’t know if to start helping him to self soothe during nap time first? Any advice ? X
