Mirena coil

Hi all, I’m due to get the mirena coil tomorrow, recommended by my doctor as my periods are so heavy prior to birth but they have been AWFUL since birth and I am now anaemic, also for contraception reasons.. does anyone have it and what are your experiences of it?? I’m so nervous!! I didn’t have a vagina delivery either, as I know that can make it less painful.

I love my Mirena. No periods, no side effects. It does hurt going in but it was easier the second time I got it after I had a baby. I had a c section too and even if you did your cervix was dilated so it's streticher now, so it's not so intense.

I had a mirena before pregnancy for 5 years, had it out for 3 months and got pregnant. Had a new one fitted at 6 weeks post partum (emergency c section) so that my milk supply would be established and like Beth both occasions it has been great, no periods.

The first time I had it fitted they didnt numb me but the clinic I went to post partum did so maybe ask if they can use some local anesthetic on your cervix before insertion. It should be standard practice but they dont care if we suffer because "its just a pinch" 🙄😩

He has been talking sht about my past since may of ‘23. He hates the fact that I dated anyone before him.

He addicted to sxx and won’t leave me alone. He has tried to guilt trip me into having sxx and complains that a woman is obligated to have it with her husband. He has not raised our child with me. Slept the entire night for 2.5 years. He’s never made her food and never has taken care of her in any capacity. He claims he is so in love but I just can’t fake it anymore. I want to leave.

Curious question (these aren’t my beliefs) if someone didn’t personally agree that it’s morally or religiously okay to be gay but were respectful about your life choices, just simply when asked if the support the gay community they just said personally I don’t agree with it but I respect everyone would that mean you instantly stop talking with them and hate them and get angry or are you cool with people not agreeing with your life style and respect their opinion and just agree to disagree.

UNIVERSAL CREDIT & SURE START

my baby boy was born at 24+3.

I’m on universal credit… I messaged them to let them know he’d been born and was told it wouldn’t effect my payment for up to 6 payments but I need to add him to my claim. What does this mean?

Also I was told to claim the £500 sure-start grant. How do I do this when he’s premature?? I’m currently in hull royal infirmary. Hopefully it won’t be too long before space opens up in Leeds and he’s well enough to move. 🤞🏽🤞🏽

i feel like sex is so boring for us i don’t really enjoy giving head unless im in the mood which isn’t often and we don’t ever have much time either i cant rly get on top for long i do not have megan knees😂and it doesn’t even feel good for me and it’s mostly only good when hes on top but i assume that must get to boring and tiring for him to always be the one giving? what would anybody advise we do !?
