Buggy decisions!

Hi! Has anyone started looking into buggies yet? We started last week, went to a John Lewis appt and attempted to get a deal at a baby show but left with nothing for both as we didn't want to rush it - it seems like an impossible decision!

I live in a ruralish area so need an all terrain and we're considering ones that allow you to double up as we're likely to want baby #2 in a couple years. Anyone else on this journey or have recommendations?

Hi,
I live in London with uneven street so we had a iCandy one to start with. Very good and useful however takes a lot of space.
Also some mum recommended the joolz

I've booked in to do John Lewis and Mamas and Papas.

Tho we tried out a Cosatto at the weekend and liked it because the wheels were a bit more durable. But we wanna try a variety and see what's best

This is exactly what we are looking for too after feeling quite overwhelmed at the Baby Show. We are also hoping for a 2nd baby in a couple of years.

We are possibly thinking of the Cosatto Wow XL as you can add a second rumble seat or cot for baby number 2 and has large all terrain wheels that have quick release (needed for my small boot haha). Also looking at the Joolz Geo3 Duo is another all terrian family option.

Its so hard to choose though, we loved the tfk all terrains at the show and I loved the silver cross cove but those dont havr options for second child and also dont fit in my boot 🤣

Would love to know reccomendations from others!

We also went to a John Lewis appointment and then to the Baby Show where we purchased our travel system. We went with the Silvercross Cove because we loved how it looked, how easy it felt the manoeuvre, all of the included accessories and its suitability for all terrains. It doesn’t help with the double up option though but they do sell a ride on board attachment that an older child could stand on. I suppose it depends on how soon you think you’ll have baby number 2 and whether they will still need the buggy regularly or not.

Breastfeeding popularity

Absolutely zero judgement here, but I’m curious how many people actually breastfeed? I exclusively breastfed my first for a year and currently 9.5 months in with my second. Out of the 11 babies in my friend group my 2 are the only ones breastfed past 3 months.

Poopin probs

My son is 4 months old and has always had a hard time pooping (he goes once a day is that). He currently has the stomach bug last week and is starting to feel better, but his poop has been hard some since being sick. He has also been so fussy. I give him gas drops often. What do y’all do when your baby can’t go?

Proud

I have no where else to go with this so thought it would be good to shout out here.
Baby girl is 4 weeks and 2 days old, was ebf however she could not latch deep enough so I went to pumping and bottle feeding.
However last 2 nights baby girl has got extremely restless after her bottle. Tonight my husband said put her on the boob she is it helps her, well I did with a nipple shield and she fed for 25 minutes. Came off content and fell to sleep straight after.
I thought my breastfeeding journey was over and it was bottles breast fed and pumping but think we may introduce a night time breast feeding to see how that is.
I am proud of bay girl and myself.

“ let them cry” “

Some people say you should let babies cry when there needs are met. Personally i am against it but what’s everyone else views ?

Milk supply.

My baby is 6 weeks old, my milk supply has dropped I am exclusively pumping as baby will not latch at all but the last 48 hours my milk has started to smell and taste funny. My baby has become extremely unsettled I’ve had to top her up with formula because no matter how much I’m pumping I’m not producing enough. Over the last 6 weeks I’ve been oversupplying and it’s just suddenly dropped. I don’t know if it is because I am feeling extremely exhausted and run down or if it’s just drying up and coming to an end. I was considering weaning off by 3 months but have been very undecided about that. Has anyone got any advice?
