Staples used for c -section? First time c section… HELP!

Has anyone ever had this done and came out OK at the end? What are your tips on this? How did it heal and look? My OBGYN used staples on me instead of biodegradable items and I’m a bit disappointed and scared about what I am finding online about the staples and all the risks and issues that comes with it? Is it not common? Any tips, advice or comments would help! Thank you

Oh wow, my Dr used dissolvable stitches. My mom had staples tho, a side from the really uncomfortable feeling of getting them out it came out ok!

This is my first pregnancy as well and I had a c section with staples. I’m 3 weeks pregnant + 6 days post op and got my staples removed 9 days post op. I was disappointed that I received staples as well. The removal itself wasn’t as scary as I thought but the healing process definitely felt scary and I feel like it was painful compared to what stitches might of been like

Is it safe to have sex after losing mucus plug?

We were planning on having sex tonight to try and get labour moving, but I've just lost quite a large amount of my mucus plug and maybe had a bloody show although I'm not entirely sure, it wasn't much blood.

Is it generally safe to have unprotected sex or is there a risk of infection?

Doula

Hello! I hired a doula at 5 weeks and I’m currently 31 weeks. I have not really connected with her and I have connected much more with my OBGYN.

I also recently found out she’s a Trump supporter which makes me concerned about her beliefs about women’s right to choose. This seems to be in direct conflict with what I believed Doula’s did (empowered women to be in control of their labors).

Has anyone had concerns about their doula in their third trimester and decided to go without. I have a super supportive husband who is a doctor at the hospital I’m delivering at. I also am hoping that my sister who lives abroad can make the delivery. I feel like with the two of them, I won’t need to doula. I just feel like after all this time with her, it’s strange we are still not comfortable with each other.

I’d love to hear folks thoughts. This is not an invitation to argue about politics. If you are a Trump supporter just keep it moving.

Pregnancy triage advice

I’m 31 weeks pregnant with DCDA twins and earlier I picked my 2.5 year old up and threw her in the air as part of a maternity shoot. I’ve had sore stomach muscles since (understandable) but now I have period pains on and off every 15 mins or so.

I’m not one of that likes to bother anyone and also I don’t have a way of getting to the hospital atm…

Would anyone else be concerned at this point?
