My baby is 3 months old, I noticed she was red in between her lady parts. Which would make sense as to why she didn’t want to be sat and kept straightening up her body ☹️ I cleaned with warm water and sudocream.
Mammas with girls, what’s the best wipes? Or do you just use warm water and a cotton pad? How do I keep her little area red free? Does she need a bigger size nappy also? Any advice welcome!

I’ve always used water wipes and never had an issue with them at all. It’s cheaper to buy boxes online rather than a few packs in the shops.
I wouldn’t say she needs the bigger size nappy just based on her being red.
Hope this helps and it gets better for you x

Ive always used mama bear wipes in bulk off Amazon and then bepanthen for both kids. My girl is 10 weeks old and no issues so far

I also use water wipes or pampers new baby wipes and they’re really gentle. I agree with Jessica I wouldn’t say you needed to go up in size with nappies just for being red. Is the nappy holding well? No consistent leaks etc? Have you used anything different in her baths? I would just keep an eye but sudocream has always been our best friend. My girl used to get 💩 around her front especially if had a poonami and it felt like I had to go digging just to make sure she was clean so could be a mixture of things, hope it’s better for you both soon x

I know you probably are but just make sure you’re wiping front to back

My daughter had a really bad diaper rush around that age but don’t worry we all go through it diaper rashes are so normal..
I personally wouldn’t be cleaning or touching any of that area just because it’s red or in general unless it’s absolutely necessary…
Id assume it’s a diaper rash.
Try giving your daughter more air between diaper changes add butt cream once the area has aired out fully. If your breastfeeding you can also poor breast milk on infected area then add diaper cream on top of it. Sometimes the brand of butt paste, wipes and diapers cause the redness, because of irritation I would recommend to test different brands to see if it makes a difference. I add baking soda to my daughters bathes it supposed to help with rashes, I also use to put her butt in the sun if she got a rash.
When sizing up on diapers you can tell by your baby getting more diaper rashes, but mostly by red marks around tights, or while putting the diaper on it seems harder to fit around the waist.

Make sure you change the nappy often too and not leaving it too long

It’s possible if she’s having lots of blow outs that the diaper is too tight and a bigger size would help reduce blow outs. I would also echo that airing out the area for a couple minutes, whether by putting baby naked on a towel or a pee pad or just leaving her on the changing mat for an extra minute and singing a song or something to let the fresh air help her, and then adding a barrier cream or something similar, I always liked bordoux butt paste and aquaphor myself, but babies can react differently to different products too. Someone else mentioned breast milk, and I would second that as well because it is like a miracle fluid and is great for babies skin, you can add it to baths or even make your own breast milk soap.
