What to do when water breaks?

So I was told when my water breaks wait at home till my contractions become regular, so try and prevent intervention (because I don’t want intervention, and midwife told me, once you go in with waters broken, you’re on their clock, which means if baby doesn’t come within a certain time they will try induce me ect)

What has anyone else done once their waters broke?

I'm pregnant with my first. My midwife said to ring the hospital when my waters break just so they are aware but to wait until I'm having 3 contractions in 10 minutes and if that isn't happening withing 24 hours to go to hospital as monitoring will need to be done.

But it may be different depending in your trust

I did all kinds of things to keep me relaxed and happy, put on some music, nice scent, went for a shower, when the contractions started to ramp up a bit I was concentrating on breathing and moving etc.
But unfortunately even after 24hours my contractions weren’t close enough, even ‘painful enough’ so I had to go in. I was advised to do that after I passed the 24h mark

With my first my waters broke, you have to go in for them to monitor you and then if everything is okay (ie no meconium in waters) they will give you a choice whether you want to induce now or wait to go into natural labour within the next 24 hours, if you don’t go into labour naturally within 24 hours then they would like to induce you, but also remember everything is your choice. I would personally not risk it to not get induced if 24 hours have passed as the risk of infection and sepsis is high. But my contractions started and I laboured naturally. But you do need to go in for them to monitor your waters, make sure to wear a pad xx

Health

Going incognito mostly because I am actually embarrassed 😂
I need to start being more active, I used to be so on the go but now I have zero motivation and no energy.
I have type 2 diabetes and I am trying to reverse it before it gets worse, my diet and exercise is horrendous as I just go for quick and easy, I do need to start really prepping food, I have tried calorie counting but end up getting stressed and just giving up and exercise wise I need someone to give me a push and hold me accountable in doing it but my partner is not the best with helping with things like this as he eats like a child and is physically active in work so when he gets home he doesn’t want to work out.
I need help, I was recently told my cholesterol and stuff are high and my diabetes has gone worse since having the baby and having a lot of meds stopped.

I’m crazy.

My husband left his phone in the living room last night so when I got up this morning to make our coffee I was trying to be a lil nosey… I know it’s a huge possibility it’s just a spam thing but like I did not want to see another bitches name on my man’s phone this morning.. 😅

Measuring behind

Hi everyone, I went for a private scan last night in which I was told little bub was measuring around 8weeks however I thought I was 9w2d. I know it’s not a huge difference but is this normal with the early scans? I know it’s harder to see things properly before 12 weeks and she explained that they tend to under measure at early scans but just wanted to see if anyone had this experience and everything was fine?

When is ‘too’ early?

29 weeks on Friday and I’m waiting for a scan at 32 weeks on the 30th of April to see if my low lying placenta has moved, if not it’s looking likely I’ll need a C section. But in most cases, placenta will move! However, I’ve just put my first load of baby washing on🫣I couldn’t resist! Is it too early?
