Dummy clips

Does anyone use dummy clips at night time? I have a 9mo constantly losing dummies in the night and twice now I’ve not even been able to find it 🤦🏼‍♀️ (her cot is place up against a slanted wall hard to get behind)
But I worry if it’s safe or not to use them at night? Was going to clip in the middle of her sleep bag fairly low so there’s not enough dangling to be able to wrap her neck?

I know in a perfect world probably not recommended at all but

I’ve heard of people putting like 10 pacifiers in the crib to help baby be able to find them, maybe that could help?

Definitely not. It can be a choking hazard. My dummy clip recently broke in my 3 months old next to me and if he was any older and was able to get hold of the loose bits he would’ve choked on it.

Get the glow in the dark dummies to find them easier and maybe pop a spare 1-2 dummies in the cot which is what I done with my eldest x

We have clipped it to the sleep bag and never had an issue, weve stopped doing thst recently as little one has started to self soothe so doesnt really need it anymore at night x

Definitely recommended putting multiple spare in there and using dummies with glow in the dark handles. Complete game changer! He was able to find them himself and put them back in as soon as we did this

We use the glow in the dark ones and chuck a few in x

I wouldn’t use a clip as I’d be too scared re strangling or of it was to break etc. we used to have glow in the dark ones and have like 3 or 4 in there at once 😂

We just put 5 dummies in 🥲 mine has slept with a clip on for a few hours (thanks, grandmas!) but I’d be too nervous personally x

We chucked a few glow in the dark ones in and that seemed to do the trick

Wouldn't advise the clips, they are a safety risk at night. Multiple pacis is the way. Put a couple in her hands so she has them in the middle of the night and should be able to easily find them. If one or two fall out, there are more.

We use glow in the dark BIB ones and also a small teddy comforter that has a dummy tie on it - it’s small so cannot put it over his face.

We use the ultra light Tommy tipee dummies which glow in the dark for bedtime xx

Clipped to sleep bag yes. And he’s GITD dummy’s. They’re not extremely bright. But do help locate during the night

2024 mamas…

how are our babies almost 2
and some already 2…

it feels like we just met them
just held them for the first time

like we just brought them home
still learning their cries
still memorizing their little face

and now they’re running
talking
becoming their own little person

how did we go
from counting kicks
to chasing toddlers

i swear…
i blinked

and time didn’t just move
it ran

Any good baby bouncer recommendations?

I use the snuggle me but the baby is now 2.5 months and it's too small for him.
What can I use as an alternative?
For naps during the day or soothing?

Naps

My little girl is 5 months old tomorrow and I have read that they only meant to have so many hours of daytime sleep but I kinda wanna hear people’s thoughts on capping naps or letting them sleep as and when they want to and for how long they want to?

The last nap before bed I completely understand capping that and not letting their last nap go past a certain time to protect the nighttime but I kinda feel like if she’s sleeping during the day however long she wants to even if it’s 2 hours at a time it’s because she wants the rest?

Your MIL walks in two hours after you gave birth & the first thing & only thing she says to you is”you look so swollen & tired”

Is this offensive, rude or hurtful? I gave birth over two years ago & still can’t get over how she made me feel invisible after I gave birth! She complemented my husband multiple times & took pictures of him & our baby alone. Praised him for doing such a good job at being a new daddy. My husband brought this up to them & they said they didn’t mean to be hurtful & moved on. I’m just wondering how other moms would take this..

Sex PP

Alright so I had sex 6 weeks and 2 days PP. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it but it was different. I felt a little pressure as if I was tighter, which my OB said is normal & will take time to “get back to normal”. What was anyone else experience like? When does it feel “normal” again?

Is it normal?

I've just had my second baby, he is 10 days old. Bit of a rough start but we are all good. My daughter is 18months old and I am consciously making sure she is included and not left out etc. However I am breastfeeding and find it difficult to giver her the attention especially when he is cluster feeding. I also get overcome with anxiety for night time, as I don't know what kind of night I'm in for. Some nights have been good others have been awake all night cluster feeding which I know is normal but it makes me feel really on edge and I'm trying my hardest to relax and enjoy these moments. But is it normal to feel anxious as night time approaches?
