Overdue!

I'm currently 40w+3. I went to midwife at 40weeks and was told I will be booked for an induction at 41 weeks. I was surprised to not be offered a sweep (for my first baby i was given 2 or 3 sweeps). Should I have asked for one?
Also they said for the induction they would do either the baloon or pessary and send me home for 13 hours. With the low papp a risk, shouldn't I be kept in and monitored more? I'm now more worried than I was throughout the pregnancy!

I was low Papp a- didn't change anything so try not to worry. My midwife said it never used to be tested for so people never even knew and she said it's not often it actually affects mum baby or the birth.
I had a balloon induction. It was painful and I was advised it increases chance of instrumental birth (which I required in the end) or c section. Then again I did have 3 sweeps and none worked 🤷‍♀️ x

If you want a sweep definitely request one! I didn’t have any as I had GBS in my last pregnancy but the midwife should be offering that before induction. Also plenty of people go into labour naturally at 41 weeks so if there is no reason to get baby out sooner (and I assume they would have wanted to induce you sooner if that was the case), then request for a later induction date.
