Exhausted

I’m 9 weeks and 5 days and I am exhausted a lot of the time, I usually don’t try to take naps bc when I do I literally cannot sleep to the point I will cry from frustration. Today I am literally SOOOOOOO tired so I attempted to take a nap. Turned in my fan as usual and put on my sleeping mask. I have been tossing and turning for 2-3 hrs and have been unable to sleep although I’m really tired and now I just want to cry bc I’m so frustrated that no matter what I cannot sleep unless it’s bed time. Does any one else suffer with this ? It’s sooo overwhelming and I’m literally sick of it

I can literally sleep anywhere nowadays. I used to hate taking naps but now, time doesn’t even matter — any opportunity I get, I take a nap. With that said though, I have support and know things will still get done if I fall asleep. Do you have a support network or are you all you got? If you are worrying about things, it can be difficult to relax and fall asleep!

The first trimester is brutal for being tired. Both times I felt awful. It gets easier in the second trimester for a bit then hits you again in the third.

I’m really struggling this time because I have a 2 year old this time. Can’t sleep when I want now 😩

I feel this. I finish work and nap as soon as I get home I physically can’t stay awake. And if I work from home I nap on my lunch. Constantly exhausted I’m nearly 12 weeks

This pregnancy has really kicked my ass, i fall asleep everywhere and around 2PM im climbing in to bed. I dont even trust myself to drive and the vivid dreams, spontaneous wake windows at 3AM, im all over the place🤦🏻‍♀️ Just rest up and take care of your body!

Im in my 3rd trimester and sometimes I dont have time for a full fall asleep nap. Maybe try just resting your eyes for 30 minutes? Then youre not frustrated you cant fall asleep, but trust sometimes just taking a second to decompress and letting your brain be quiet for a little can make you feel more energized afterwards

No bump

I am 20 weeks tomorrow and I only have a real small bump! I know some people will be like 'think yourself lucky'. But I just want to look pregnant, I have wished for this for so long!
Still not feeling any movement i dont think just wish I felt pregnant and looked it.

When did you know your about to give birth?

So this is my 2nd pregnancy.
First one, my water broke before contractions hit at 37w3d (which i hear only happens to 10% of pregnancies).
This go around, the entire pregnancy has been different from the first. As of right now, at 35w4d, I have no idea if what's going on down there is mucus plug break or just discharge. Definitely not a water break. Also for 2 days in a row when I wipe my butt there is wet poo like diarrhea though I havent shat recently so idk what up with that. 🤔
When did yall know you were about to give birth? The first time i just lucked out and my water broke and we went to the hospital right then. 🤷‍♀️

If you wanted an unmedicated vaginal birth, did you have one?

In my opinion there is such a pressure to have an unmedicated vaginal birth and all social media and midwives are telling you ”your body was made for this” ”try Hypnobirthing” ”just breathe baby out and it’ll be fine” when in reality birth is just not like that. I have so many friends who wanted this ideal pain free dream vaginal birth but all ended up with emergency c sections and felt like they failed/were upset when it went the way it did.

I’ve had two unmedicated vaginal births. First one was extremely traumatic and made me want an elective c section the second time but classic nhs gave me a date that was late and my baby arrived before then so ended up having another unmedicated vaginal birth. Despite the second birth being a textbook ”good” birth I still found it unbelievably painful and in no way empowering and all these other words flying around social media and what my doula used.

Is there too much pressure on women to have this magical unmedicated vaginal birth? And therefore so many mums feel upset when it doesn’t happen? Let’s not forget that c sections are now the most common births in the UK.

This is basically a rant and I’m just interested to hear people’s opinions. No right or wrong all women are amazing however they birthed their babies!

Nursery essentials

My LG is due to start nursery in 3 weeks and was wondering what essentials I will need. She hasn’t had her settling in yet due to it being closed for half term.
What do you mamas pack in the nursery bag.
She take a dummy for sleep and I know I’ll need to pack 2 due to her needed the comfort in the beginning.

Tips on dealing with episiotomy pain?

I'm 4 days pp and I can't sleep from the pain of the wound. I'm exhausted and just want to sleep! I've taken paracetamol and ibuprofen but as I'm breastfeeding I can't take anything else. I'm using ice packs but if I'm in any position other than sat up with my legs spread (heels to bum knees spread) then I'm crying in pain. What can i do. I really need to sleep. Thanks
