Bassinet for newborn

Hi all! So we have a stroller (maxi cosí) but it doesn’t have the bassinet with it.. I’m wondering if it’s essential for when baby is tiny and wants to sleep.. does my normal seat being in recline mode enough for this? Thanks!

If the stroller itself states that it’s suitable from birth I don’t see it being an issue

We have the buffalo and chameleon, think the version without the bassinet wouldn’t work for a newborn. You can use a car seat if you have an adaptor but best to check online depending on which one you have.

Newborns and small babies should sleep flat. Hence the bassinets. It's for their safety. However if your seat reclines to flat position it should be fine.

I think a newborn must be in a bassinet for not rolling out etc. you cannot use the harness that early and they don’t have muscles to hold themselves

Which bugaboo is it? We didn’t buy the bassinet as I think it’s expensive for how long it’s used. But we did use the cocoon instead, worked perfectly.

I wouldn’t take the chance, baby could fall out - I’ve seen some inserts that you can buy for strollers that will keep them safe x
